He was set to teach grade school before he got a call from the Giants. A week

Thomas</a> is another example of such a player who came in during the 2010
season after being released by the Carolina Panthers (http://www.giants101.com/tag/carolina-panthers/) and the Washington Redskins (http://www.giants101.com/tag/washington-redskins/).</p>

He came in in against the Redskins in week 14 and recorded five tackles on
special teams and downing several punts. Fast forward one season, and Thomas,
once a highly touted second round pick out of Michigan State, was reduced to
refining his special teams skills on a week to week basis. It paid off. He
recovered a key fumble in the NFC Championship game against the San
Francisco49ers that bounced off of returner Kyle Williams.</p>

Thomas was determined from day one this past season. He came into <a class="st_tag internal_tag" title="Posts tagged with Eli Manning" href="http://www.giants101.com/tag/eli-manning/" rel="tag nofollow">Eli
Manning</a>'s passing camps at Bergen Catholic in extremely good shape and
worked out with the quarterback each day he was there.</p>

In preseason, he returned a kickoff 70 yards against the Chicago Bears. He
also had key returns against the Arizona Cardinals and a key 3rd down conversion
against the Dallas Cowboys.</p>

Thomas has tried in every way he can to contribute and Giants management
should take notice. Expect him to be re-signed this coming season and have a
good chance at doing some damage on the receiver depth chart in the event that
<a class="st_tag internal_tag" title="Posts tagged with Mario Manningham" href="http://www.giants101.com/tag/mario-manningham/" rel="tag nofollow">Mario

I think he has a real chance to replace MM. The guy is lighting quick. Always the first player down field on ST. Also if u noticed when the giants sent 4 WRs into the endzone on the hail Mary before halftime vs GB the fastest WR to the endzone was Devin

i think Devin can contribute again this coming season! after being drafted by the "deadskins" he needed some place to go where he could make a contribution!</P>

he hustles and made big plays int he nfc championship game! hes a good depth player and might even challenge for the #3 spot!</P>
