I know he is old but he could be a cheap addition to our team. Could platoon him in and out on special situations and rotate him until JJ, barden, Thomas or Hixon steps up

I was thinking more like getting him cheap as a role player and mentor to the younger guys

I was thinking more like getting him cheap as a role player and mentor to the younger guysagreed he is way over the hill... But if he is still on market after week 1 , bring him in non guranteed , to tutor the young guys like jernigan & whoever we pick up in the draft

I don't know. Roster spots are so valuable these days.

Plus, nobody thinks about it, but signing FA's costs teams in compensatory picks.
