"With free agency now right around the corner, the New York (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york/)
Giants must make several important decisions on impending free agents or risk
losing them to other teams. One of those impending free agents is cornerback <a class="st_tag internal_tag" title="Posts tagged with Terrell Thomas" href="http://www.giants101.com/tag/terrell-thomas/" rel="tag nofollow">Terrell
Thomas</a>, who was only a year away from commanding huge money before he went
down with a torn ACL.

Thomas, while appearing on SiriusXM NFL (http://www.giants101.com/tag/nfl/) Radio Thursday night, said his rehab is going quite well (http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/giantsblog/cb_thomas_expects_to_re_sign_with_uJWaR7A88oYmDtjm HHdx5M) and that he's worked very hard to
get back to where his was prior to the injury.</p>
<blockquote>

"I知 pretty much at a good-paced jog,鋳 he said. 哲ot a sprint but a nice
jog. I知 cutting, jumping, and next week I start cutting on the grass and get
fitted for my knee brace, so it痴 picking up. The fun part of rehab is
definitely there. I知 doing lunges and squats. I知 squatting 300 pounds 10 times
so I知 definitely confident and just looking forward to coming back in 2012 and
showing everybody how hard I worked in this offseason."</p></blockquote>

The 2008 second-round draft pick has also posted several videos of his progress (http://www.giants101.com/2012/02/28/new-york-giants-likely-to-keep-terrell-thomas-over-aaron-ross/) on his Twitter account to show
how far he's come.</p>

But what does he expect to happen come March 13th? This past Wednesday, he
was counting down, tweeting (http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=347139278664410&amp;id=100001 050222069): "14 days..Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc."</p>

His tune changed a bit on Thursday night, as he told the hosts on SiriusXM NFL (http://www.giants101.com/tag/nfl/) Radio that
he expects to re-sign with the Giants.</p>
<blockquote>

展hen you do the study on people coming off injury the best possibility is
always to return to the same team that you were previously with,鋳 Thomas said.
典hey know you best. Obviously this industry is a business so I知 definitely
open to free agency, but the talks with the Giants are going very well. I don稚
think they want me to hit the free agent market and so we値l know in a couple of
weeks whether I知 a free agent or I return to the New York (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york/) Giants.</p></blockquote>

As Paul Schwartz reports, Big Blue is likely to sign Thomas to a short-term
contract that allows him re-establish his value."</p>

That is exactly what I would love. Kind of what we did with Kiwi. I would like Goff to get a short term sign as well. </P>

Lets get it done and keep one of our guys from hitting the market.
