Before it all gets out of hand again with the posters yelling to sign him immediately, he could help with the loss of MM, etc. I'd like to say:
NO PLAX, will not happen, shouldn't happen, He is no longer the player he was, he does not fit our team chemistry, and he will not be some magical addition that will make this offense soar. No people, this will not be a "feel good juice" fueled repeat, in which Plax makes good for his 08 gaff. TC will NEVER have Palx back, Eli doesn't want him, and no fan in their right mind would argue for his return.

Oh, here's his recent interview which prompted this post:
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/06/plax-calls-return-to-giants-a-great-possibility/

He gives props to Manning, TC, and Gilbrides offense, and calls the GIANTS a "Great possibility".

Only if it's on a small contract.

How do you know your right? I don't care if we sign Plax or not because we were clearly successful with out him, but what if Sanchez was the reason he is not the same as 08? Who knows maybe the Eli to Plax chemistry can return or even be better since Eli has significantly improved since Plax's incident.. Its not like he forgot how to run and catch the ball. If we can get him for cheap i don't see why not bring him back

Who cares whether Plax will fit the chemistry or if the players and coaches want him back. There's bigger factors at play here.

The real argument here is that Plax is not the type of receiver the Giants need at this point. If MM leaves, which most likely will happen, the Giants need Jernigan to step up and Barden to become more productive... Potentially draft another speedster in the mid rounds.

MM was out fast deep thread, Plax doesn't fit that role at all!

Needless to say I'm completely forgetting about Hixon in all of this, but I still think its up to the young guys to step up.

Reese responds to 2012 Plaxico Rumors (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc/)My idea of a smart GM is one who talks up guys' values while having no intention of signing them. If we can get our competition to spend more on players than they should, they will not have the money necessary to round out the roster and prepare for injuries. Right? So JR should go right ahead and talk up Plax, (don't call him Plex).</P>

I heard the Sirius interview when Plax states being back with NYG.

He also stated he could see himself back with the Jets, he could see himself with the 49er's, and he could see himself helping the Eagles.

He answered the question as a veteran free agent should answer the question . . . keeping his options open.

I'd take him back for an affordable 1-year contract. Let him compete against JJ, Barden, and maybe even SS for the # 3. If a WR gets injured, it'll be nice to have his experience with our O and QB ready to go.

As long as TC, Eli, and JR are cool with it, then I'm cool with it.

He gives props to Manning, TC, and Gilbrides offense, and calls the GIANTS a "Great possibility".Plax is washed up. We do not need him or SS. I say give the young players a chance. Who knows maybe we will find another diamond in the rough like Cruz. Besides, there are about 50+ WR free agents and maybe 10-15 Draft choices available this year, why do we need Plax or SS? Plenty better players to chose from.

I say bring him back.Hes the biggest eagles killer in years, and if it helps us beat them, then i 'll for it.Rather him come to us then play against us.

Not a huge deal or anything crazy, just enough to get him back with us.The more weapons eli has the better. His best years were with the giants>look at last season and who he had as a team, teammates and sanchez sucks. He;ll never be the qb eli is,so having eli pass to him will also help his career.Plus we just won the superbowl, why not go to the world champs if they want you.

Im sorry if this upsets anyone, but i for want him back.

I was against it last year but if Mario leaves he would be a nice option to have. The Giants will need another outside receiver.

i agree with this reasoning. i'd rather it be SS, but if we don't target him, Plax would make almost as much sense.
