A LOOK AT BRANDON JACOBS' MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/brandon_jacobs_giants_part_way.html)

"Brandon Jacobs' fiery personality made him a physical force on the field.
It also made him a headache at times. Here are three ups and downs of <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/giants_release_brandon_jacobs.html">the
now-former Giants running back’s</a> tenure with the team:

THE UPS</p>

•?On a sub-zero day at Lambeau Field, Jacobs ran over the Green Bay Packers’
Charles Woodson on the opening drive of the 2008 NFC Championship Game. As Eli
Manning described it in a film on that game, “That hit said, ‘Hey, it’s not that
cold out here today, and we’re here to play.’ ”</p>

• Jacobs entered the 2008 season wanting to prove he deserved a big contract.
He did it on opening night when he ran over Washington Redskins safety LaRon
Landry in the open field, sending Landry to the sideline with a shoulder
injury.</p>

•?This past December, with Ahmad Bradshaw benched for the first half against
the Dallas Cowboys because of a curfew violation, an inspired Jacobs picked up
the slack by running for 101 yards and two touchdowns. He did his “Worldwide”
dance on the star in the end zone nearly four years after firing the ball at the
play clock at old Texas Stadium after a touchdown in a playoff upset of his most
hated rival.</p>

THE DOWNS</p>

•?In 2010, Jacobs was running too laterally for coach Tom Coughlin’s liking.
He did so on a run for no gain against the Indianapolis Colts. He went to the
sideline and tried throwing his helmet against the bench but it instead flew
into the stands. Jacobs, who apologized after the game, was fined $10,000.</p>

•?Jacobs, a boxing fanatic who manages a few fighters, threw punches at the
Redskins’ Albert Haynesworth in December 2009. He was penalized, fined $7,500
and took a shot from Haynesworth to a sore tooth that required dental work.</p>

•?After the Christmas Eve victory over the Jets this past season, Jacobs got
into <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/12/ny_giants_silence_ny_jets_29-1.html">an
on-field shouting match with Jets coach Rex Ryan</a>, during which he yelled,
“Time to shut up, fat boy!” Then again, judging from the reaction from those who
believed Ryan had it coming, maybe this wasn’t such a negative."</p>

Thanks for being a Giant, Brandon. Great memories. A fiery team mate. Unselfish. He wants to be a starter & get a starter's money. Best of Luck. Once a Giant, always a Giant.
