1st- WR Stephen Hill (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kQWb4NXvJc)- Much like the JPP pick a few years back, Hills athleticism and potential will prove to be too much to pass up. Also provides some insurance should the Giants not be able to afford keeping both Cruz and Nicks down the line.

Alternative- RB Doug Martin- Emmitt Smith says he may be better then trent richardson and reminds him a little of himself....enough said

2nd- G/T Amini Silatolu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y1vMglvFlE) - One of my favorite prospects in the draft this polynesisan road grader would bring a much needed nasty disposition to the Giants Oline as he never lets up and always looks to finish his blocks. Also possesses a quick first step to not only get out and pull, but also get down field to the next level.

Alternative- OT Bobbie Massie- IMO not as good a prospect as Silatolu, but perhaps would fill a bigger need for the Giants with the ability to be a day 1 starter at right tackle.

3rd- CB Chase Minnifield (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPtX8DYwOZI)- Once considered a high 2nd rounder, his stock has begun to drop due to measuring smaller then his listed height while also only putting up 225 7x at the combine. However Minnifield is a proven ball hawk with 13 career INT's and plays much more physical then his measurements would suggest.

4th- DE Jake Bequette (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAUNLNACnyg)- Hgh motor player with great size (6'5" 275), great production (10 sacks in 2011) and under rated athleticism (6.90 in the 3 cone drill only behind Melvin Ingram for Dlineman and 1st in the 20 yard shuttle at 4.07)...Should more then offset the loss of Tollefson

5th- DT Ronnie Cameron (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APbgNk6D0nc)- The former CAA defensive player of the year has compiled 145 tackles, 50 TFL's and 16 sacks the past two seasons. The "Haitian Hammer" is scheduled to visit the Giants on April 12th.

6th- RB Davin Meggett (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=043vhj46_jw)- Built like a bowling ball at 5'8" 211 pounds, Meggett is a do it all back with limited wear and tear (never had 200 touches in a season and has never missed a game due to injury). I must admit I'm partial to this pick because his father Dave was a favorite of mine growing up... may I add also a favorite of Parcells as well.

7th- TE Adrien Robinson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P53EEAeCn4)- Was the star of Cincy's pro day measuring in at 6'4" 264 with a vertical jump of 39.5 and an unofficial 40 time of 4.51. Kevin Weidl of ESPN's scouts inc had this to say on his twitter account, "Studying Cincy TE Adrien Robinson on tape. Think he has a chance to be a steal in this draft. Not used properly at Cincinnati."

Not bad . . . drafting Stephen Hill would be very much a JR type of move.

Would like to see a TE before the 7th though . . . .

Would be funny having Davin and Da'Rel competing for playing time again like they did at Maryland.

I like Stephen Hill and Chase I think is going to be a stud.

Can't wait till draft weekend.

True, but I feel the signing of Bennett kind of negated that need....After all our starter was a UDFA last season. If we can get a low level FA like Pascoe back in the fold to go along with Bennett and perhaps Adrien Robinson it would be more then enough for the Giants

I think we need to add a quality player at dt

Ronnie Cameron isn't qaulity? The Giants invited him in for a personal workout so I'm sure they already see something in him that they like. As it is we have our starters set in stone with Canty and Joseph not to mention a young upside guy in Austin. Also on passing downs the Giants usually go with 4 DE's so having a guy like Cameron as your 4th DT should be more then enough.

I want a guy that will be good enough so that cutting Canty next year would be no big deal.</P>

Thanks, the first 4 picks might be a bit of a stretch as far as availability, but I've seen different mocks around the net that would have those players available in those slots....I think the chance of Hill slipping to us has gone up with previous WR hungry teams filling their holes through FA
Chi- Marshall
SF- Manningham, Moss
NE- Lloyd

I don't see a problem with availability. At least nothing to the point that I'd bring it up.

I'm not a big Stephen Hill fan ... lots of speed ... not the surest of hands. I think he's the trap in the first round personally, but I won't fault others for picking him,

I'm also not in love with Jake Bequette (especially in the 4th). Again this is more of a peronal preference then anything I can definitively point to. He's a solid choice (although he might very well be there in the 5th round) but doesn't excite me either.
