Marion Barber retires after 7 seasons in the NFL. Although he played for the Cowpokes I always liked the way Barber ran the ball

it could have something to do with the Bears signing Michael Bush, also his production has been declining

Wow. That was completely out of left field.... no way would have I ever expected him to retire so soon. I am sure that he has his reasons. I hope that he finds it in himself to come back in a year. He was a very good player.

yea I was kind of shocked too, I always liked Barber, just wished he didn't play for the boys lol

He was decent, but not a very smart football player.

Short, short playing careers for RBs. I remember in the playoff game in 07-08, the Giants absolutely could not stop him. I still don't know how we won that game.
