FORMER NFL QB CHRIS SIMMS TO JOIN PATRIOT'S COACHING STAFF ("")

The former Ramapo High School quarterback has joined the coaching staff of
the New England Patriots, according to the Boston Herald.</p>
Simms’ title is not yet known, but he’s believed to be taking an entry-level
position. His father, Phil, the lead analyst for CBS Sports’ NFL telecasts, was
the quarterback of the Super Bowl-winning Giants when Patriots head coach Bill
Belichick was the Giants’ defensive coordinator under Bill Parcells.</p>
A third-round draft choice out of Texas in 2003, Simms played five years in
the NFL with the Buccaneers and Titans. He had a 7-9 record as a starter and a
touchdown to interception ratio of 12 to 18.</p>
In May 2011, Simms was acquitted of charges of driving under the influence of
