CHRIS SNEE SAYS GIANTS "ONLY WANT HEADLINES IN FEBRUARY" (http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2012/03/chris_snee_says_giants_only_wa.html)

"The Super Bowl champion Giants have on their calendar events like their ring
ceremony (May 16) and their White House visit (TBD). But this offseason, the
Jets have managed to steal the headlines in the New York-New Jersey area, with
their surprising trade for Tim Tebow.<div class="entry-content">

"We only want headlines in February," Giants right guard Chris Snee said this
morning at a preview of the NFL's pop-up store at 41st Street and Sixth Avenue
in Manhattan, due to open Monday at 11 a.m. "That’s the only time we want it,
and I'm sure most guys on the team will say that. </p>

He added: "(The Jets) felt that was in their best interest. We won't know,
and I don’t really care to be honest with you. I'm worried about our team, and
the changes we make, and getting our team ready."</p>

Giants coach Tom Coughlin, Snee's father-in-law, <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/03/giants_tom_coughlin_takes_a_ja.html">weighed
in on the Tebow trade</a> yesterday at the NFL spring meeting, telling
reporters, "You know who won the Super Bowl even if we're not on front page. New
Yorkers know."</p>

Snee agreed.</p>

"It's true," he said. "You can beef this up, pump this up all you want. It
only matters what happens in February, and if you're the last team standing,
that will stick here forever. Winning in this area is huge. I've had a lot of
former players tell me that. If you win a Super Bowl here, this area will always
remember that and love you for it. I'm fortunate enough to have won two."</p>

The Jets are taking a different approach in developing quarterback Mark
Sanchez than the Giants did with Eli Manning. Coach Rex Ryan has indicated that
Tebow's package of direct-snap plays could be used as many as 20 times a game,
which would put a sizable dent in Sanchez's playing time. </p>

"Different coaches have different philosophies, different game plans," Snee
said, when asked to compare. "If the Wildcat is a part of what you do, then I
understand that. But it’s never been a part of what the New York Giants do, so
therefore you want your young quarterback on the field getting as many reps as
possible. It all depends on your philosophy and what your game plan is."</p>

Snee said he had a scope on his elbow last week, but he will be ready for
OTAs in May. He is sore but has started rehab and will get the stitches out next

"Some things that add up over the years, stuff I've been choosing not to get
done, and I decided that I had to do it," Snee said. "A lot of maintenance to be
done in there."</p>

Snee has seen a handful of teammates leave so far in free agency: Brandon
Jacobs (49ers), Mario Manningham (49ers) and Aaron Ross (Jaguars). He said it is
tough, but he's used to change after eight NFL seasons.</p>

"Brandon loves the game of football, plays with a lot of passion, plays very
physical," Snee said of Jacobs, who was released by the Giants this offseason.
"Probably one of the toughest guys I’ve ever played with. He will be missed,
there's no doubt about it. He will be missed, he got us all fired up on game
days. He loves to play the game of football, he loves it, and that rubs off on
other guys."</p>

Two teammates have gone to the NFC rival 49ers, which Snee said is even

"Considering we clawed our way out of there bruised and battered," Snee said,
referring to the NFC title game. "Obviously, they’ll be there in the end as
well; they’ll be in the mix when it comes Super Bowl time again."</p>

The Giants' right tackle situation is uncertain. Snee says he hopes Kareem
McKenzie is back. Another option is to move David Diehl to right tackle.</p>

"I hope Kareem comes back," he said. "That will be tough when I go out there
and he's not there, similar to what it was with Shaun (O'Hara) and Rich
(Seubert). We’ll have to see what happens with that situation."</p></div>

Snee has just given us an insight to what the Giants F.O. is doing. He gave props to maybe the 2 guys that might be leaving. He didnt even mention anyone else. Thats kinda scary, but.......with the way our front 5 worked this year I am ok with some change and hopefully for the better. We had great pass protection but basically 0 run game. That in itself is NOT G-men football. Luckily it worked out for us this time around, I still want the Ground and Pound back for sure.!!!!

That is the right attitude to have about headlines.

That is the right attitude to have about headlines.

When oh when will the Jets ever take a page out of the Giants 'Class' book and learn how to say a lot by saying very little??

Oh, wait, then that would mean the jets would be admitting that their approach is wrong.
