STEVIE BROWN SIGNING: GIANTS INK FREE AGENT SAFETY (http://www.bigblueview.com/2012/4/2/2921258/stevie-brown-signing-giants-ink-free-agent-safety)
"The New York Giants (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/new-york-giants)
have signed free-agent safety Stevie Brown (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/109254/stevie-brown),
both Brown and his agent announced this evening via Twitter.<div class="entry-body">

I don't anything about Brown, except that he is 24 and was a seventh-round
pick of the Oakland Raiders (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/oakland-raiders) in
2010. He played 15 games for the Raiders that year, and eight games for the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/indianapolis-colts">Indianapolis
Colts</a> in 2011. He has one career start.</p>
You wonder if this is another indication that the Giants are planning to move
on without veteran safety Deon Grant (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/2433/deon-grant), who
is a free agent. The Giants had also previously signed another young safety, Chris Horton (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/34509/chris-horton),
who formerly played for the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/washington-redskins">Washington
Redskins</a>. The Giants appear to be stockpiling competition for the backup
spots behind Antrel Rolle (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1769/antrel-rolle)
and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/34496/kenny-phillips">Kenny
Phillips</a>."</p></div>
