I think that is at least a full round early for Derek Wolfe. I think its more likely he goes late 4th or early 5th.

I like this mock, but Dwayne Allen is a better in line TE, and it isn't even close. I'd rather take Doug Martin in the first and Dwayne Allen in the second -- if RB/TE is the combo we go with.

Agree and thats why it seems to be a logical choice to pick up Fleener in the1st if available considering that he could be the BPA at that point. Even though I tend to agree about the 3rd round value in all the rest of the TEs its seems very possible that someone will pick up Dwayne in the 2nd out of need.

i think 2 TE go in the second round Orson charles has dallas written all over it and dwayne allen. remember dallas still wants to run a two TE offense, and i can see someone like broncos or even the rams picking up Allen.

i believe D.Martin would be there but like i said i will go out on a limb and say we don't see another RB off the baords till mid-late 2nd round in this order L.Miller / L.James / D.Martin / D.Wilson

His projection is that he will be a 4th or 5 th rounder but his stock is on the rise. I've seen him in quite some mocks being picked in the 3rd.

i would of went with crick but i was reading that his stock rose to early 3rd late 2nd round. if he's there i completely agree with you he would be the better choice

I concur and don't be surprise to see the Eggholes picking up a TE with one of those 2 picks on the second round, behind Brent theres no one to back him up and although Celek still young at 26 years he is starting to pile up lots of injuries. I heard some analyst today on NFL.N saying this about the Eagles TE situation and made some sense.

Personally, I'd rather have Doug Martin, a guy I absolutely love, and a guy who could instantly improve an ailing run game and then get the best in line TE in the second round.

While I do agree on the possibility that teams might reach on a TE, I don't see Allen being the guy. I see guys like James Hanna, Ladarius Green, Evan Rodriguez, Beau Reliford, Orson Charles being guys that are possibly drafted higher than expected. Now of those guys, maybe two possibly get drafted before Allen, but it's the athleticism that teams are gonna crave for that matchup factor.

Me though, I see from Allen a natural hands catcher who plucks the ball, a player who prides himself in his excellent blocking, just a pure in line TE. I crave a guy like this because it gives us a way more potent and well rounded offense at a lower pick than Fleener.

Fleener can attack intermediate and deep seams, he can flex out to the Y, he can *develop* into a superb in line TE. He is incredibly athletic and has a very high ceiling. He will cost a first rounder though.

Allen can run a bunch of routes, not as dynamic in the seams but he can develop. He is a dominant run blocker and pass blocker. He and Bennett give us incredible flexibility though. 11, 12, 21, 22. These become so much more threatening as a result. We could further dictate on offense. Allen also gives us an immediate jolt in our run game, especially if we land a Doug Martin.

Rainier, I love the direction you're going in, I just disagree with the order and guys. But I'd be happy either way.

A player you mentioned I'm getting more interested in is James Hannah, great combine numbers and showed some power in bench pressing with 24 reps but I don't understand why some analyst are saying that the knock on him is he isn't very good at run blocking . I don't know if this review is accurate , I really think he is flying under the radar and it gives me the impression that he is kind of unknown. I think he has the tools to flourish under coach Pope and obviously be available later on . That been said the idea of drafting Fleener in the first is killing me if he slides and Devon Still, Doug Martin or a top OT are still available when the Giants turn comes up to pick.

Not much more than a slot guy, and a very, very raw blocker -- so I can't speak to if he soaks up blocking techniques like a sponge, or like Beckum. OU didn't even put him on the line when they ran the ball.

I also think DT is a high priority on the list with Bernard and Kennedy gone and Marvin coming out of a 2 year lay-off.
Taking in count the needs at the Dline and probably at LB with Chase and Goff not returning it would make sense if they go after some players in those positions and fill some holes.
If look back at recent Giants drafts Reese philosophy about drafting BPA early is cloudy in a sense that if you take in count JPP and Kiwi's picks yeah you really can say they were BPA but when Jerry went after a WR ( Hakeem Nicks ) , a Safety ( Phillips ) CB ( Aaron Ross) among others they were need picks in the 1st round, obviously they need-value level was awesome but not always at first sight it seems like a BPA mentality has been implemented
If those years a huge need was fill with a great value pick in the 1st round this year what is the position in question to adress ? To me is RT .
