Coughlin as our OC....why?

Cause it's Sean Payton in disguise... Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin were special coaches in their own way...

anyway, don't forget Mike Pope for TE coach...

I was debating Landeta vs Feagles and Phillipi Sparks vs Sam Madison. Lanedta is on all 80s team...so I went with him...very debatable. I'd probably put Sparks over Madison though if I had to...

All the DEs mentioned above are are good against the run. No knock against Osi.

I like the list except I'd take Carthon at FB. And there's probably a guard from the '80s who was better than Ron Stone, just can't think of the name right now.

Jumbo Elliot was the best left tackle we ever had I think he should be number 1...as far as the punter discussion, most of Feagles best ,prime years were not spent here with the Giants....Landettas were....Coughlin was never an OC....other than these points I agree

Yes he was listed as a corner back but never really played anywhere but special teams.

Carthon > Way

Jumbo Elliot > Benson or Diehl

William Roberts> Seubert, 10 years 2 rings and prowbowl

There must be someone that can replace Sam Madison on this list. He was here well after he was washed up.

And it's hard to leave Osi off this list. If this list is truly for the past 25 years, then Osi should replace JPP for now.

You're right about Elliot -- hands down.

What about Riesenberg? Raul Allegre? Ottis Anderson? Greg Jackson? Perry Williams? Everson Walls? Alot of these guys are better than the players from the modern Super Bowl teams.

BluTri10

Definitely correct about Elliott. I should have put him on, no question. Riesenberg loses out to McKenzie...

Raul Allegre was great too -- I gotta admit, I'm a bit biased in selecting Matt Bahr. My brother was named after him...He was my dad's roommate when they played for the Penn State soccer team...!

You forgot William Joseph at DT

Hahaha just kidding! But seriously, Keith Hamilton DT was a beast. He's the last DT we've had who was any kind of threat on passing downs. Dude got double digit sacks in a season more than once and averaged 6 sacks a season in 11 years

Osi has to be on there somewhere

He's riding the bike over on the sidelines. Definitely the best at doing that in the last 25 years.

+1 Jumbo Elliot. Man was a great tackle for us.

Also Rodney freaking Hampton over Jacobs for me ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Rodney did every game what Jacobs was supposed to do. All Rodney ever did was hit them hard and hit them often until he couldn't hit them no more.

As much as I love JPP I have to put Osi in there at this point.

Keith Hamilton was a beast and tough as nails has to be in there as well.

Notice how now, since we won two Super Bowls in the last 4 years...are having a harder time choosing the best players over the last 25 years...i.e. Feagles vs. Landeta and Osi vs. Pierre-Paul?

This little Super Bowl run adds a very interesting wrinkle in the historical context of this great franchise...

Greg Jackson was decent, but not better than Rolle or Phillips. Everson Walls was a real good CB but his good years were with the Cowboys, not with us.

Collins and Webster are the best CB's we've had in the past 25 years.

No osi this list insane honestly jpp but osi should be on here. Aswell as keith hamilton the hammer. He was a solid DT

BluTri10

How is this list insane?

* Osi is not better than JPP.
* Keith Hamilton's defenses never came up with big stops. He was solid DT -- but Erik Howard and Jim Burt were better -- in my humble opinion.

JPP is gonna be a much better player than Osi, but if this list is for the past 25 years then you have to go Osi over JPP.
