I didn't see where Martin was better than Wilson looking at their highlights. I know who's faster though- Wilson.

Yeah it's definitely not inconceivable.

Wilson being our second rated back is very plausible. I loved Martin, but I am not upset we went Wilson.

I will say though, I really liked Upshaw.

Wilson has good speed, is tough a runner and has great hands. I love the pick.

I guarantee we trade up in the second round to get Sanu or Stephen Hill.

Didn't Reese have JPP rated higher than most GM's?

Why not trade up for a tight end?

Ya, I can underdstand that because I said recently I loved Cordy Glenn for us. But, I have always said I think Wilson is the 2nd best back.

Out of the guys that were left I would rather have had either Glenn, Worthy, or Fleener, but I trust JR.

Wilson has a problem with fumbling?

How much would have cost them to trade up to get Martin if hey really wanted him?

They cold have had him if hey really wanted him.

I agree that we may target a WR. We brought in so many potential 2nd round guys for interviews. Randle, Sanu and Jeffery. Those are 3 players with similar skillsets, all big and physical, all good redzone targets and all come from power rushing offenses where they were asked to run block a lot.

Otherwise, I secretly hope we can get our hands on Dwayne Allen or perhaps a decent Olineman.

Coughlin fixed Tiki's fumbling problem as well as BJ's and he seemed to have fixed AB's last year.

yeah he was actually. he led all rb's at the combine in 4 or more of the drills, he is a former track star, super explosive quick twitch off the snap, explodes trhough the holes, has serious leg drive so he'll be able to run with power, but has so much agility he'll make em miss

I personally would've rather had Worthy....
I like the Wilson pick, but I know some hearts dropped in that war room when Martin was picked at 31.....
I'd love to us get aggressive in the 2nd & trade up and make a big pick up...

Its not Giant tradition but I would have perferred to bank the pix. If your looking @ BPA??? wilson come on! Even Upshaw but an RB with dropsy, ughhh!

Other than Worthy,Fleener & Lavonte David, I didn't see much of a difference between Wilson and a few other available guys as far as BPA goes....
So when there's not much of a clear cut BPA, you ave to take need into consideration and RB was definetly a need...

What a crazy idea to select Wilson who had more than 400 more rushing yards than Martin, had a 5.9 rushing yards per attempt over Martin's 4.9 rushing yards per attempt and has 4.3 speed over Martin's 4.55 speed.

Reese must be crazy!

Osi might be traded. And there's a possibility Kiwi would be gone next year.

Toledo gave up 32 points per game, Tulsa 27 points, Nevada 25 points, Fresno St. 35 points, UNLV 41 points, Wyoming 28 points, New Mexico 42 points....... Looks like a bunch of scrubby defenses there.

Exactly! It's hard to grade someone when playing that type of competition. Boise St has soft schedules year in and year out.

Boise State plays Hawaii, SMU, UNLV, SDSU, UNM, etc. They are in one of the worst D1 conferences (though I do love Hawaii)

I think Wilson has more outstanding skills than Martin. I personally am excited by this pick. Now we need to go get an OLineman to open some holes for him to ruuuuuuuuuuuun!

I watched just about every game Martin played in..... (I live here in Idaho.) The kid had that special something and will be a great addition to the Bucks. They made a great move to jump in there and get him. They must have known or suspected that the Giants were going to pick him.
With that said I still love the pick. I think Wilson will be a stud.

O-line will complete the fix for our running game and give whoever we put in @ 3rd WR enough time to make plays. Also don't want to ever see Eli pummeled like that niners game, ever again. As tough as he is, I'm amazed he didn't get hurt that game.

of course he would say that though...

Well since there are about a dozen other people in the war room that can vouche for it, I highly doubt JR is blowing smoke.
