GIANTS' ELI MANNING, TRAVIS BECKUM REACT TO BOUNTYGATE SUSPENSIONS (http://www.giants101.com/2012/05/02/new-york-giants-eli-manning-travis-beckum-react-to-bountygate-suspensions/)

"The NFL (http://www.giants101.com/tag/nfl/) handed down
suspensions for players involved in Bountygate on Wednesday morning, including a
historic 16-game ban for New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma. In
addition to Vilma, defensive lineman Anthony Hardgrove, now with the Green Bay
Packers, has been suspended for eight games, defensive end Will Smith has been
suspended for four games and linebacker Scott Fujita, now with the Cleveland
Browns, has been suspended for three games. All players are expected to appeal
their suspension.

While taking part in a conference call to help promote his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live (http://www.giants101.com/2012/05/02/eli-mannings-saturday-night-live-promo-released/), New York (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york/)
Giants quarterback Eli Manning was asked to give his thoughts on the Bountygate
suspensions. As you might expect, Manning was in full support of the NFL (http://www.giants101.com/tag/nfl/)
Commissioner.</p>
<blockquote>

"[Roger Goodell] is doing the right thing to make sure that this doesn’t
happen ever again," Manning said.</p></blockquote>

Shortly after Eli's call, and mixed in amidst the angry tweets from Saints
players, Big Blue tight end Travis Beckum took to Twitter to share his own
personal, yet indirect, thoughts on the situation.</p>
<blockquote>

"The Giants are a class organization. We play by the rules and are taught to
play as men! It's not a coincidence we are Super Bowl champs," he tweeted (https://twitter.com/#%21/TravisBeckum47/status/197733350268600320).</p></blockquote>

Finally, former Giants running back Tiki Barber shared his .02 on the
suspensions and Bountygate as a whole.</p>
<blockquote>

"Funded malicious intent and violation of the sanctity of the brotherhood of
players is core to egregiousness of Saints bounty program," Barber tweeted (https://twitter.com/#%21/Barber_Tiki/status/197739757432877057). "Pay for performance is ok … pay to end a
game/season/career is not – but if it happens in the natural course of the
brutality, it's okay."</p></blockquote>

Although most seem to agree that some sort of punishment needed to be handed
down, a season-long suspension was commonly referred to as "over the top." Some,
like Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden, went as far as to say "It's going to be
a long time before Roger Goodell makes it back on anybody's Christmas list."</p>

Never said there was anything wrong with it. However, in Tiki's case he just comes off as being smug instead of smart.

Tiki's language isn't intellectual -- it's tortured. Lots of big words for the sake of big words; his sentences are barely understandable.

Twitter isn't the place to flex ones vocabulary.I remember Tiki always trying to flex his vocabulary. I think he may be trying to commit those words to memory by using them X times in one day

It'd be much more intellectual if he could cut the fluff out of his statement.

Well, at least that's what my English teacher told me.

Actually he needs more wisdom, which he is/was lacking in
