They cannot just put the rookie in and expect the same results. Right now that 2nd Rd pick Big Blue wants, is looking better and better down in Baltimore.

There's a good chance the Giants can get much more than a 2nd rounder if they get desperate enough

yeah, i'd expect we'd make it pricey for them. we got all the power in this situation. they should be desperate, and dont have the power to be making any demands in this scenario.

i'd imagine JR would make osi extremely pricey for them, and if they don't want to give up what JR is asking, no big deal for us...but it would be a big deal for them

Reese and Newsome have a personal relationship as well as professional. JR won't put the screws to him.

The key factor remains that Osi wants more money, and would ANY other team give him the money he feels he deserves? Otherwise, it's a 1-year rental, and nobody pays a 2nd rounder for that.

Come on. The Ravens aren't the Ravens because of a piss poor Front Office.

As mentioned before, unless there isn't a contract agreed on beforehand, Osi isn't going to the Ravens. That organization is way too sound to finance winning now to suffering for the future. They are capable of doing both with or without Suggs.

If Tuck went down tomorrow, we would call upon our next guy to rise to the occasion. We're not a ****ty organization. Neither is Baltimore. Stop the threads.

Of course we learned our lesson years ago at Frisco. Strahan was pleading to go out for a blow, but the DL coach just shook His head no ( They had nobody to put in ). No one is going to sign Osi for a 1 year deal. He has at least 4 good years left in His tank. A GM with vision would see Suggs on one side and Osi on the other next year. That SB trophy has 12 years of dust on it. The Steelers have won 2 SBs in recent years. Telling you're Fans " At least we're not the Browns " won't cut it anymore.

We are talking about the Ravens, not the Raiders. They are not going to trade for Osi.

#1 - Courtney Upshaw is going to step right in and ball there. He was great in college, and will be great in the NFL. He should of been a top 10 pick IMO. Not sure why he fell.

#2 - The Giants play the Ravens this season. Imagine the passion Osi would play with in that game vs us. He would probably get 5 sacks and strip Eli 3 times.

Reese is getting tired of all these Osi threads and will trade him for whatever he can get.

What do Suggs and Osi have in common? Two completely differnt players.

I was just going to say it wasn't going to happen because they just drafted Upshaw.

THe giants should take the deal if they can get a 2nd and 5th.. Thats a nice price for a 30plus yr old DE, who is oft injured, and mostly one dimensional.. U try and make moves before the player totally declines, not after.. I'd certainly take the gamble and do a 2nd and 5th if the Ravens offered it.. Worst case scenario, Osi has a couple more good seasons before he starts his decline, and we have more cap room and extra picks in 2013... Were also gonna get some comp picks for Mario and possibly Aaron Ross, i would think..
