I think Webster and Snee deserves consideration too.

How many made it last year?

With 32 teams, that's more than most teams, I suspect

I can't name 10 better CBs. Bradshaw should be there too, but the list is about list year more than anything else and last year our run game struggled.

Snee doesn't deserve it off last years performance.

I don't think Bradshaw really deserves it from last year. I mean he didn't it 1000 yards or anything.

I actually think Webster deserves it more than Tuck does, strictly off last years play.

This is the Players' list, right??

Tuck has notoriety and leadership, and that's what other players see (kind of like a Ray Lewis factor). . .plus he really played VERY well in the postseason (esp. the SB) when everyone's watching.

If there are 10 other CB's on that list, then I'd agree Webby should be on there. In all likelihood, there aren't 10 CB's in a list of 100 players. Probably dominated by QB's and WR's.

I'm nothing more than a fan who watches games on T.V. Having said that, I feel Snee played poorly in 2011, and I hope he rebounds. He certainly doesn't deserve consideration for any on-field honors IMO.

Oh, and 5 players is GREAT!! If there were only 20 teams in the league, 5 players out of 100 would be average. With 32 teams, 5 players is excellent!

The list itself is just stupid. I bet these guys know 20 players they think are good and then just christmas tree the other 80. Once Tebow was on there, you knew the list was foobar.

Is this the same list that Eli was not even on last time? I think that tells you all you need to know about its validity and accuracy!

So far they've only release 80-100. Of those players only one is a Giant, Nicks at 90. That's really low, especially since there are probably going to be wide receivers ahead of him that really shouldn't be ahead of him.

and where was each player ranked at?

the list was formulated by asking NFL players to write down their top TWENTY players in the league only.

Let's be real, do you think NFL players on other teams would really have guys like Boley or Bradshaw listed in their top 20?

I want to make this clear before people start overreacting to a list or blaming the network.

But how can we possibly win a Super Bowl without making this list? I mean, these guys know what they're doing. Keeping out the riff raft like Eli last year. We can never win until he makes the list.

Osi not on the list? I'm sure Reese will use that in the negotiations...

The Giants have 1/20th of a list based on 32 teams.

Do the math.

If there is 5, which I haven't seen any credibility that that's the true number... though I didn't read whole thread cuz I'm on my iPhone..Id say Eli nicks cruz jpp and Webster should be on list. Only reason I don't say tuck is because he did have a down year. Snee also did not play very well, and Webster was a beast last year. However tuck could arguably swap with Cruz as he has only had one big year thus far.

Regardless of Tebow, 5 Giants on the top 100 is pretty good considering that there's 32 teams. I couldn't think of any other Giants, except for Web, deserving of top 100 but even Web would be pushing it (and that's no knock against Web).

I think Osi should be on the list. He is the best playmaking pass rusher in the NFL. Top forced fumble player in the past 2 years. The numbers don't lie.

You're right -- I'd put him in consideration, but I've got to see the rest of the list.

100 players / 32 teams = ~3 players/team

on average each team should have 3 players on the list. 5 is good

100 players / ~22 positions = 4-5 players/position

so only top 5 at each position on average should make the list

Look, maybe Tebow isn't suppose to be there but he can run between the tackles and may be some type of back for the Jets. The Broncos also didn't have weapons because when Peyton came to the Broncos, they had to get him some good weapons I think.

there was an article on nfl.com saying how Nicks at 90 was way too low and explained how he is the 3rd best wr in the nfl bc of his ability to win out on the perimeter, his wide ranging elite skill set, and his postseason performance

agreed with him on every front for once, he had only Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald ahead of him

will be interesting to see where the other giants players fall on the list

The only guy I see always at the top is Calvin Johnson so after that fan bases and prejudices get involved. Id love to see a poll of Just DB's who the Top WR's are. Who cares what anybody else thinks besides the guys who cover them

Justin Tuck should be removed from the list.

Like I already said before....the list is bogus if it doesn't have all the deserving SB Champion NEW YORK GIANTS in all the top spots!
Nobody can be better than the players on the team that won the Super Bowl....end of story!
How can anyone be considered better than the champions???It doesn't make any sense...which is exactly why these lists are stupid!

bigblue58

For years analysts and other players
criticized Eli's compl % for not placing him higher among other starting QB's....so how can they justify putting Tebow on the list when his compl % is garbage and would be considered below college standards let alone NFL standards?
This list is horse dung on so many levels.
