Here is the latest story on his passing from the NY POST Blog.8:52 PM, May 8, 2012 ? By PAUL SCHWARTZ

Stacy Robinson, who spent his entire six-year NFL career as a receiver for the Giants and was a member of the organization's first two Super Bowl-winning teams, died on Tuesday after a battle with cancer. Robinson was 50.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Stacy Robinson,” Giants co-owner John Mara said. “He was a good man who was loved and respected by his teammates and everyone in this organization. His work on behalf of the Players Association was of great benefit to many players. He will be missed. His family is in our thoughts and prayers."
Robinson was a 1985 second-round draft pick out of North Dakota State and played at a time when the Giants were often a run-first team under Bill Parcells. He played in 43 games for the Giants and had 48 receptions for 749 yards and seven touchdowns. He made a difference in Super Bowl XXI, catching three passes for a team-high 62 yards as the Giants crushed the Broncos. Robinson left the NFL after the 1990 season and began a second career working for the NFL Players Association. His most recent position was the union’s Director of Player Development, as he helped players prepare for their careers once their playing days had ended.

I hear you. Feel the same. Was a good man. Was at stadium for one of the ceremonies last year. Think it was the SBXXI 25th anniversary recognition ceremony during one of the games. Remember seeing him on the field.

Pretty much describes him. One thing I will say is he did drop a pass in the endzone at the end of the 1988 season against theJets that if had been caught would have sent the Giants to the playoffs. It was a hail mary, however the ball was right in his hands.

This was a major exception though not the rule. He usually was very relaible and that's whatmade that drop all the more surprising and disheartening but at the end of the dayit was a hail mary after all. It doesn't always work to perfection like the Nicks play against Green Bay in the playoffs before the half lol. I always liked him eventhough he didn't necessarily crack the starting lineup.

He was a good receiver and this is a sad day. Way too young,RIP Stacy Robinson.

The memory I will always remember of Stacy Robinson is a scene from the 1986 video. It takes place in training camp or practice and its shows Parcells telling Stacey to go out there and run like hell like its a street game.
