GIANTS' SUPER BOWL XLVI DVD WITH COMPLETE PLAYOFF BROADCASTS ON SALE TUESDAY (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/06/giants_super_bowl_xlvi_dvd_wit.html)

" try to keep this blog as objective and commercial-free as possible but I
know folks have been very anxious about when the Giants' Super Bowl XLVI DVD
with the complete network broadcasts of the playoff games would be
available.

I finally have your answer: Next week.</p>

NFL Films and Vivendi Entertainment have announced "New York Giants: Road to
XLVI" on DVD ($39.99) and Blu-Ray ($49.99) will go on sale on Tuesday.</p>

To answer a few questions I've already gotten on Twitter:</p>

--The discs will be available at all of your standard retail stores (i.e.
Best Buy) and shouldn't be hard to find at all.</p>

--The victories over the Jets and Cowboys in Weeks 16 and 17 are not
included.</p>

--The "America's Game" broadcast, which NFL Films does for every Super Bowl
champ, is still about three months away. The NFL Network has broadcast the
latest installment of that outstanding series in early September, so I'd expect
that to be the case here, as well.</p>

--Speaking of "America's Game", I keep forgetting to ask which players will
do the talking on that one. I know Victor Cruz tweeted about being down at NFL
Films one day, so he's a likely candidate, as is Justin Tuck. For the third one,
maybe Antrel Rolle? I'll try to find out.</p>* * * *

With the news of <a href="http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/05/giants_osi_umenyiora_fires_age.html">Osi
Umenyiora's firing his agent</a> breaking on Thursday night, I wasn't able to
get into Justin Tuck's annual billiards tournament to benefit his "R.U.S.H for
Literacy" charity as much as I would've liked.</p>

A bunch of celebs and Giants teammates (as well as NBA players and other NFL
stars, such as former Giant and former Notre Dame teammate of Tuck's Ryan Grant)
showed up at Slate in Manhattan to support Tuck's event.</p>

"My wife and I are very passionate about education and kids," Tuck said of
his charitable organization. "And we felt as though, in order to have a great
education, you have to have a background, you have to have a foundation. You ask
anybody about foundations of educational success, it starts with reading and
writing.</p>

"We enjoy reading and enjoy writing. It's something we're passionate about
and we've put all of our efforts to that."</p>

I want it (Blu-ray), but $50 is alot of money. I'll wait and buy it off eBay for $20 in a few months.

I'll be picking it up Tuesday. I've been waiting for this for months. I feel like a kid getting ready for the latest Star Wars figure to show up at Toys 'R Us.

I still put the SB42 discs on as background noise when I'm doing stuff around the house.
