I work with 2 cowgirl fans who have started telling me: "NO WAY Victor Cruz will be as good as he was last year...he's a one year wonder!"

I replied: "YOU ALSO PREDICTED THAT THE COWBOYS WOULD WIN THE SB EVERY DAMNED SEASON FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS I'VE WORKED HERE ....HOW'S THAT WORKED OUT FOR YOU TWO SOOTHSAYERS?"

Their retort: (the sound of birds chirping) followed by silence!

My reply: "YEAH....THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT!"

Ah...the sweet smell of cowgirl nation's jealousy and envy certainly does cleanse my lungs!

I never understood the hate for cowboys fans. Most of the cowboys fans I've met, yeah there's a respectable rivalry, but nothing like that. My boss is a cowboys fan, and he started pulling for the giants in the super bowl. Yeah it was mostly because he didn't like the arrogance of Tom Brady or Belicheck, but the fact that he was able to root for the Giants means that he was able to put aside his dislike for the Giants for a common goal. And, honestly, I would do the inverse if the SB came down to cowboys/pats. It's a rivalry, nothing more, nothing less.

Eagles fans, on the other hand, are the scum of the earth...

wow...uhhh....ok I don't even understand that train of thought.

If it came down to the Patriots and the Cowboys in the Superbowl, you best believe I'd be singin the tunes of "**** THE COWBOYS!!!"...
Some Jets fans i know pulled that BS, rooting for their division rival(Pats) just because they are so sour when it comes to the Giants.
I for the life of me will never understand that mentaility.

NEVER root for a divsion rival

As for "flash in the pan", we still have Giants fans saying that, LMAO.

Throw in his amazing preseason performance in 2010 before he ended up on IR and it's safe to say he's no flash in the pan.

Unfortunately, Cruz can really only go down from here, even if he has a great season. What happens if he has 1,100 yards and 6 TD's, which is still a great season, people will still say he had a down year and ask what's wrong with him.

The kind of season he had last year is going to be hard to reach, much less top, since I bet he gets double team, and just the law of averages says he more than likely won't get that many yards again.

Prepare for the "Cruz isn't as good as advertised" articles this season. If the run game picks up too, the same thing is going to happen to Eli, Cruz and Nicks.

Well if thats the case with double coverage, that's fine, because who better to have than Nicks on the other side of the field. It's a good problem to have, trust me...lol

That's because I no longer see dallas as the Big Bad guys anymore. At least when it comes to their players and fans. They hate Jerrah just as much as we do. I almost pity them now (kinda like the skins). If it weren't for the divisional race I wouldn't have any problem with them. I'm more rooting FOR the Giants when the two play or are competing for the division down the stretch than AGAINST the Cowboys.

Philly is where the root of all evil is centered now. They deserve no quarter, and if I had my way they would be paraded down times square in irons while we get to throw all kinds of nasty **** at them... But of course there's laws and the like that prevent me from realizing my dreams.

I respect the Eagles organization because they produce talented teams most years and have a good/not crazy owner and front office.

I respect Redskins fans because they have endured losing for decades.

I respect nothing about the Cowboys.

Those ball skills, those hands, those smarts, the ability to dominate at the line of scrimmage, that isn't going anywhere.

You don't flash that, and then fall into oblivion.

Virtually his entire highlight reel last year was already in double coverage.

Your point is right, but as long as he doesn't drop off like Plax did in 2008 we'll be fine.

wishful thinking

but, i will admit, even as a Giants fan, it took me awhile to move from Victor being a feel good story ... a local kid done good ... an acceptable replacement to the pre-injury Steve Smith

about Week 7 i realized, wow this kid is a superstar
