Seems like Kuhn will be missing more valuable practice time with the New York Giants. He cannot practice until he receives a work visa. He say's that it "just takes a little bit with bureaucracy" and "It just takes a little second".

I've been looking forward to what coaches and teammates have to say about him from his on-field work, guess that will have to wait.

Source::
@MikeGarafolo Giants' Markus Kuhn can't participate in OTA's until he receives work visa: Kuhn said he expects to have one "anyday now".

There are plenty of aliens working in the US w/o any paperwork. Isn't New York a sanctuary city? What's the problem?

"It could take anywhere from a couple weeks to six months for him to get his visa back in the mail."

I highly doubt it'll take six months now that's he's an NFL player for the defending Superbowl World Champion Giants and his work visa will be expedited past the average normal folk.

All I know is that NHL teams draft 18 y/o players from US not-so-friendly counrtries, and they seem to be ready when they need to.

Big oversight on the part of the G-Men. BIG.

He goes into the queue like everyone else. There is a quota from each country, and he's in line behind spouses and people with family here.

I think the NHL has an exemption with the Canadian and US governments. They have some weird contract.

Petitioners may choose to file a Request for Premium Processing Service
(Form I-907) to have their petition processed within 15 calendar days.

When people with power/money (Giants) are pushing your paperwork, it won't take too long. Shouldn't be an issue imo.

So that would mean he doesn't have it yet and is losing valueable practice time everyday

why does this always happen with athletes?

how come there's millions of illegal workers getting paid on the books but a guy like kuhn can't get work?
