It's not just the veterans that are heaping praise on their coach, it's some
of the rookies as well. And with only a small sample size thus far, it's very
telling about the leader and man Coach Coughlin has become.</p>
<blockquote>

He treats you like man. He expects you to respond like a man and carry

the main goal of winning and not being selfish. Its always about the team,"

The coaching style and interaction isn't the only thing that separates
Coughlin from the rest; it's the love he has for his job. At 66-years-old, he's
the oldest coach in the league, but you'd never know it when he's out on the
field doing his thing. That sort of passion for the games rubs off on his
players as well.</p>
<blockquote>

Hes 66, but he seems like hes 26 to me, walking around out there excited
and stuff," safety <a class="st_tag internal_tag" title="Posts tagged with Janzen Jackson" href="http://www.giants101.com/tag/janzen-jackson/" rel="tag nofollow">Janzen

The season is still months away, but already the team is having fun and
enjoying themselves. They're looking ahead and are anxious to repeat as Super
Bowl champions, and that sort of desire and determination spreads from the top
down."</p>

It's amazing that Nicholas & Jackson can get that impression from Coughlin when they've only gone through rookie camp and a few OTA's.

I'm so glad Coughlin is getting the respect he deserves. To think the media and some fans wanted this guy out last season just seems crazy now.

It's funny how the guys that gave Coughlin the most grief - Plaxico, Tiki, Shockey - have all washed out.

I'll say this.....thank God for Eli Manning......if Eli had the same "me first" gene that Shockey, Tiki, or Plax have, Coughlin would have been fired by now.

As good as Eli is on the field, he's just as good in the locker room.

Same goes for guys like Justin Tuck.
