No matter what happens in the Offseason, Coughlin will keep us competitive...Im glad we have a coach like Coughlin instead of an Andy Reid (who's awful along with Callisto), Shananhan (who's nothing without Elway), and Jason Garrett.

We have all these so called replaceable guys all over out roster but we still manage to win Superbowls....and Eli does a great job working with the young talent until we lose them in free agency.

I love the whole coaching staff and I hope we can continue to hold on to them a little longer because bigger opportunities are coming their way.Im not going to complain about whats going on in the offseason because this coaching staff has always got these guys ready to play. Coughlin for Hall of Fame as well!!

Considering the front office decides on the coahces, and is the same front office who resigned Eli...

Well, you cant credit the coaches and Eli and not the people who hired them.

Sounds like a red sox fan. Their GM wins 2 championships in 3 years after 86 years of losing, and they fire him after a few bad ones.

I agree that Coughlin is a great coach, and that in turn makes Reese's job a lot easier than if the Giants had a mediocre head coach.

Reese has found some gems in the draft....and a good share of the credit should also go to Marc Ross, who is the guy responsible for running the scouting department.

Does Reese stink?....no. I think he's a very good GM. He deserves credit for what the Giants have accomplished.

But sometimes I get the feeling that some posters think Reese just pulls All-Pros out of thin air, when in fact, there are a ton of people involved in the process, including scouts before the selection, and coaches after the selection.

AndI don't think free agency is Reese'sstrong suit, either. To me, he does operate with a mentality that players can be replaced. I'm not saying that's the wrong approach, but that is definitely leaning on your coach and scouts....and that's why Ballard is gone. It was a calculated risk...and now we'll have to depend on someone stepping up....just like Ballard stepped up last year.

I remember being one of the guys who was freaking out when Boss was allowed to split....turns out, Ballard worked out very well in his place. Hopefully history repeats itself.

I thinkalot of the"genius" of Reese is reallythe result of a strong organization that also includes a great coach, great ownership, and a kick *** scouting director.

I'm not going to slam Reese because he is benefitting from being a part of a tremendous team. But, I think he owes alot of his success to the system that Mara and Tisch have put together. And again, Reese is a big reason why that system has worked so well these past few years.

In short, everyone - coaches, scouts, GM, ownership - is on the same page right now, and the results show it.

I think when people are mentioning Reese and giving him credit they are not forgetting everyone else involved, it is just easier to give credit to one face. For instance if I say I just built a house, I can tell you that I actually didn't lift a finger to build a house...but I did buy it and pay for someone to build a house....yet, I still say I built a house.

If doing that makes them stink then what would make them good? How much better job can they do then bring 2 SBs in 5 seasons?
