View Full Version : Nice to see ex Giants rallying behind Eli, but..Eli & rest of the team..have never given a damn about gossip or BS before.

This team is probably the best example of NOT giving a hoot about what is said on TV, in the Papers or Blogs...and I for one and glad of it..Play the game, and shut your mouth...When you don't play you have time to talk crap...Toomer can say what ever he wants to about anything he wants to...he's a free citizen just like we all are...but..other then that...he just another ahole with an opinion...so..who cares..Can't wait till we see the boyz back on the grid again..GO BLUE !

I wasn't really a fan of when Canty said what he said about Eli being better than Romo even if it is true. Other than that they know they have a 2 time Super Bowl MVP on heir team.

I agree with all you say here. But since the football writers and pundits have made such a deal of Toomer's remarks--and his doubling down on the remarks the following day--and precisely because Toomer's career was framed within a non-controversial media presence, it became necessary (to players themselves) for at least some Giants active players to speak out. To not do so would be seen by many as tacit agreement with Toomer.

Good to see players having their QB's back, frankly. As they should.

I dont know.. Sometimes I think it's better this way. It gives Eli the edge. It makes him go out with something to prove even though he has two rings. We play better with a chip on our shoulder. Maybe toomer did it on purpose

I diagree. I think they are the best at pretending it doesn't bother them. Eli wins Superbowls when he's been dissed. I want him to have a chip on his shoulder...again!</P>
