Hes really the first time the giants have had a speed back in decades.

Bradshaw is often thought of as the speed guy because Jacobs was the big back, but Bradshaw really isnt a darty fast runner at all. Hes a shifty power back, he was 220+ pounds. And in the open field he isnt going to outrun that many LBs or DBs.

Scott has the same sort of speed as Wilson, but he only played what, 5 snaps last season?

Tiki too did not really have that pure speed to run past anyone, he was a vision runner, set up his blocks better than most backs can.

I remember when Bradshaw had that long run against Buffalo...He looked a lot faster than he does today. But I agree that it was never like Wilson's speed.

Scott's fast too but I haven't seen the shiftiness that Wilson has. Wilson definitely seems to have the best skill set package of any Giants RB since Tiki...Don't want to crown the guy yet. Have to wait and see how he adjusts to the NFL game.

well bradshaw at the combine only ran like a 4.55. Jacobs ran the same speed.

Jacobs just didnt have the same short area quickness bradshaw does. (not surprising considering their weight)

There were times when Jacobs seemed to outrun guys too.

I would consider both of them to have rather average speed though.

Have to wait and see how he adjusts to the NFL game.He has had several long td runs in his defense. However AB has been caught from behind more then he hasn't. Maybe this Wilson kid can give us at the RB spot what cruz and Nicks give us at the WR spot. Breakaway speed. Something the gmen have lacked for yrs was YAC and we have that now and after tiki we have had productive Backs but not one that could break it on any play.. I'm excited

What the hell is the IFAF World Championship of Football?

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IFAF_World_Championship)So it's an every 4 year deal like the Olympics and we have won the last two. Also because the USA is so dominate in football they did not field a team in the first two IFAFs. Their our some steep restrictions on who can play and even with these the USA fielded a team that was able to win in both appearances. Canada also was slightly restricted and their first games came in second to the USA? Just looked it up and it says it's a quadrennial event

This is awful.I just noticed we entered for the first time in 2007 and won it.. Then in the next one 4 yrs later we also won that one. So USA is 2-0 in the IFAF all time

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how it works. On the Wiki page it says the US won in 2007 and 2011 but this video is supposedly from 2009....so I'm not too sure.

But in all the info on Wiki it shows it was played every 4 yrs With the first ever IFAF run in 99 with Japan winning. They defeated mexico with Sweden and Germany in 3rd and 4th. The second time it was played was in 03 with Japan defeating Mexico again with Germany and France coming in 3rd and 4th.

In the third time it was played in 07 it was the USAs first time their and they defeated The two time champion Japan in two Overtimes 23-20. Germany and Sweeden was 3rd & 4th. The last time this was played was last year in 2011 with the USA again winning it all over first time runner up Canada in a blow out 50-7. Japan was 3rd and Mexico 4th.

I guess we knocked out Japan in the earlier rounds again

Here's the page for 07... We won by some pretty big scores

Here's the 2011 one. We beat Australia 61-0 lol.

What's interesting is David Wilson's name is not on the 2011 roster because he was in college and this must be HS level players .or right out of HS. The 07 page doesn't have a roster.

Wilson has alot more dimension to his game than just speed. Power, balance, runs north/south with toughness. Nice yardage after contact. He looks to enjoy punishing the tacklers.
Here's some more.
Skip to the good stuff. Start watching at around 1:20

Lead the nation in yards after contact! 200 more than Trent Richardson. That's what I'm most excited about. Everuone knows our o line sucked last year so what better 1st round pick could there be then a guy who breaks a lot of tackles?
