I don't know if anybody posted about this, but why do the threads not get automatically bumped when someone replies? Under the last posted column, the times are not in chronological order.

I know...it's so ****ing annoying. Also, no "My Posts", I miss that.

if you look at the top of the page, next to "forum" there is "whats new?". click on what's new

Just figured it out. They're in alphabetical order. You have to click on the "last post by" button to display chronologically

There should be a global setting that they can change to automatically filter posts by last posted, though.

Is there, or are you reccomending we have one? Because I totally agree that we need one. There should be an option for the admin(s) to change how the threads are viewed globally so the default thread view for all users is last posted.

What message board on the face of the planet has the default thread sorting as alphabetical? It's like Nilay (or possibly on of the mods, not too sure what kind of behind the scenes permissions they have) wanted to change their personal setting to alphabetical, but instead changed it for everyone.

For the time being, look on the thread list, and underneath it there's a sort option. Have it sort by "last post time" in descending order...

To be honest, that should be the default...

I think the new boards are nice, some features are nice, but I feel like too many itty gritty details were stretched at the expense of the big picture -- like thread sorting.

Very confusing because even when you click on latest reply not all the new threads show up until you go into what's new. It's very annoying and I'm not trying to nitpick I love these new boards, really do.

Is there, or are you reccomending we have one? Because I totally agree that we need one.We need one. It needs to refresh to that sort automatically when you return to that screen. Why have everyone click to refresh when that is what 99% of us would want automatically?

But you have to do it every time. You can't set it that way. What a horrible glitch that is.

What's the problem? If you want to see a new post, there's a small little arrow near the person's name who replied last to the thread.

Click that, and it'll go all the way to the new post.

YOu don't have to click the thread and then go down to click the last page

But you have to do it every time. You can't set it that way. What a horrible glitch that is. yeah even when you leave the page/forum for another....seems to me its a simple fix ......mod m should be able to handle it ... he's a super moderator !

ps....all the other forums apear to be set up last post decending...this is the only one set up this way

I am glad someone else finds this equally annoying, I was starting to get concerned!

Any way that we can get the little thing on top of each thread that would say "Last post by: _____ # minutes ago"...that was a nice feature of the old boards as well.
