JPP's Blocked FG vs Cowboys In Week 14 or Victor Cruz's 99 Yard TD vs Jets.

Victor Cruz TD against the Jets.

What a beautiful game that was. And after that, we were pretty much lights out.

I want to say the 99 yarder but to me JPP's FG block has to be that moment due to it's importance in the Giants positioning for the playoffs.

JPP's blocked field goal. That was the difference between having hope, and being all slouched over and nonchalant like the 8-8 season in 09.

The 99 yard TD. They where not playing well early in that game and that was off of a loss to Washington.

JPP's block (and really his performance all game) saved the season.

Cruz's TD turned it around.

I'm all for that FG block... An uncontested FG would have only sent the game into overtime; blocking it proved that we meant business. There was just a fire to that comeback that erased the fears I had. The 12 point comeback wasn't as steep as blowing 28 against the Eagles in 2010, but it sure felt like we came back like that after the 4-game skid we had. The 99 yard TD was just the icing on the cake.

Tuck's hard fought sack in week 17. I said at that time that it had epitomized our whole season, and knew at that point that we were gonna be tough to beat.

Honestly, the biggest play was Romo overthrowing a wide open Miles Austin on 3rd down that would have iced the 1st Cowboy game.

Tony Romo missing a wide open Miles Austin down the field which would have put that game out of reach.

Yup, beside JPP being a monster in that game and Manning being on point, Romo should definately be in consideration for Giants MVP honors for this game.

The Cruz TD against the Jets.

The team was looking like it was ready to lose that game until Cruz broke that one.

For me, JPP's blocked FG...I think that was what really got them going....

Without this, we don't get into the playoffs. Not to take anything away form Victor.

The blocked field goal and the 99 yard touchdown are definitely the two biggest.

But hey for the sake of argument, another big one was Jacobs' screen vs. the Jets on third and long where he had to knock a few guys over to get the first down. Our offense was sputtering a bit before that play and I think that lit a fire.

The 99 yard TD. They where not playing well early in that game and that was off of a loss to Washington.Loved the 99 yarder, but without JPPs block victors long run could have been meaningless towards making playoffs

The block saved that game for sure. Then again, wasn't that to make it an even game? Just saying, we don't know what wold have happened had they made that kick. We also don know what would have happened if that 99 yarded didn't happen. They where both important as where many plays even earlier in the season.

i thought is was this dez bryant td:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d824f7a56/Giants-blown-coverage-leads-to-Bryant-TD

after that td, and then the redskins loss, rolle got all fired up and started to call out teammates for not practicing. tuck, took offense, but started practicing again, and they havent lost a game since. that was the catalyst as i remember.

JPP's whole game against the Cowboys. The Giants needed the win and JPP didn't give up. He was everywhere. I think he motivated the team and was the spark for the momentum the Giants finally gathered.

Cruz's TD. That was a must win game for both teams, and before the interception it was pretty close, as a whole.

Whatever play that was indicative of our defense elevating their play from crap to average/good.

The last 5 minutes of the Giants-Cowboys game that was in Dallas.

Dez Bryant scores a wide open 50-yard bomb with 5:40 left. I and I'm sure many other fans declared it 'season over'. This comeback turned our season around the most.

Have to agree. Without that Romo/Austin miss none of those other plays would have gotten us anywhere closer to a playoff berth.
