So, what did we learn from the Giants' loss to the Cowboys? It's this: Eli Manning is just not as good a quarterback as Tony Romo. Frankly, it's doubtful he ever will be. For the near future, the Giants will have to overcome that deficiency twice a year.

Funny how things worked out.

Yup. Now, its almost universally accepted that Eli is superior to Choko Romo.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2007/week/8Funny how things worked out.Wow...lol. Well at the time the cowboys were on their way to a 13-3 finish and a number 1 seed in the playoffs. Up until they had to face the 11-6 giants that is!!!!

Even if romo somehow manages to win a few rings prior to retirerment ( not likely ) he will NEVER be able to say he defeated an unbeaten team in the SB.... As a matter of fact no QB will prob ever accomplish that feat again

Good find. Although, it does appear this guy's tenure at ESPN was short lived after these comments. Maybe I am wrong, but I cant find much of his articles after Feb 2008. Maybe, they got the clue too.

Not according to amani toomer. He was on the radio like 7 july saying romo is better because of stats And because Romo was more consistent throughout his career.

I don't agree with Toomer saying that Eli is better, but his statement isn't complete blasphemy as some here would lead you to believe. Romo's a good QB also. Let's not treat him liked chopped liver.

And I believed it. If you had offered Romo for Eli straight up at the beginning of 2007 I would have jumped at it. Glad I'm not in charge.
