The link is about the jets/bengals game but applies to us as well... you're not showing your specialized stuff so that opposing teams don't get film on you. I know a lot of you already know that, but there's a lot of panic going on as well.

I have no worries.

I don't either, and like I said, it's nothing new to anyone really, but it's also something to keep in mind instead of getting emotional about it...

We looked pretty bad in preseason last year.

I am a realist and I am not worried at all at this point...my focus on this game was to see if our running game improved and if we will be able to successfully replace Manningham and Aaron Ross and that was confirmed in just the first preseason game....…wilson looks like he is going to be awesome, as does Randle and hosely...yes, they will have their rookie moments but I believe this draft was smoking hot just from the value that these three bring.

Now...can we solidify the MLB position and O line?...I don't care if we win the preseason as long as these criteria are met. I thought we looked decent for our first showing in preseason...years past, we looked dreadful!

There is really no hope for any fan who panics after the first preseason game . . . .

I'm too busy enjoying the return of football to panic.

The only thing that its OK to panic about is the terrible Giants Oline. it was bad last year and I dont see it getting any better.

I worry about the bookends. Though it's hard to imagine it being any worse than last year.

There are things that mean nothing, then there are things that mean less than nothing, then there are pre-season football games

We looked pretty bad in preseason last year.I agree. A lot of teams don't look sharp in the first preseason game. All teams show some good, and show some areas that need work. Thats what preseason is for--shaking the rust off and seeing how the rookies react to the speed of the NFL. There have been teams in the recent past that go 1-3 or 0-4, but have a successful season.

What was the Giants preseason record last year?

2-2, including that embarrasment vs the Jets. At least we beat them in the game that actually mattered though...

Listen.....you just don't really know the full agenda for a pre-season game....no coach will enter a game saying "we're trying to lose", but at the end of the day there are certain things that a team may be working on or specific situational or player specific goals that a team may be attempting to accomplish that are more important than the outcome of a drive or a game. That's why you just can't read ANYTHING into what you see in the pre-season.

I wasn't panicking in the first place. It's only preseason.

if they are still playing the same in preseason game 4 all bets are off! Many people forget that the preseason play backups as well and some of them may not even start. Also the score was high so that looks good for out offense. Preseason games is where you want to see what you got and how well they can play the game.

Anybody who puts any stock what so ever into pre-season games is a moron.

Just for kicks, I looked up the 2008 pre season-you know, the one following our previous Super Bowl year. We lost to the Lions the first game. The Lions who went 4-0 that pre season, before going on to their 0-16 regular season. We went 2-2 that pre season, before going 11-1. Doesn't mean anything per se, of course, but just sayin'.....

I'm not worried about the defense because I know hey can do it. Prince had some problems the other night but we know he can play. We saw him play well in post season. The OL is another story. Not going to get to worried because it is the pre season, but they where not good last year. So we don't know if they can get better. Also have to worry a bit about punt retuns.
