Excerpt: "The New York Giants (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york-giants/) released a medical report on Tuesday morning for four of their defensive lineman, and the news was terrible across the board. First and foremost, defensive tackle Martin Parker will miss the entire 2012 season with a herniated disk that requires surgery, while defensive end Justin Trattou is out several more weeks with a heel injury." Really ticked about Rogers. His presence alone was gonna help a lot. Now Hendricks has a great opportunity in front of him and I believe he will cease it. Too bad for all the other guys.

As long as Linval is good to go, I still think we can use different men to pick up the slack.

I wonder if we'll be seeing some "modified 3-4" (for lack of a better word). TC and PF are known for putting our best players on the field regardless of "position" listings.

Serious question. How long does it take to get better from what Rogers has?

It's the same issue Stacy Andrews had, blood clot in his leg. It's a long recovery process since if the clot were to dislodge it could kill him.

He'll be on blood thinners (coumadin) for at least 3 to 6 months so he won't be able to participate in anything that will put him in danger of bleeding during that time.

Probably end up seeing our ends that play some DT play more of it this year. They just need someone to help out in the rotation. Definitely looks like Tracy, Kuhn and Hendricks will get their chance to make an impact.

Lately, it's never a complete Giants season without a rash of injuries. From the same article, "As it stands, the Giants' depth at defensive tackle consists of Linval Joseph, Rocky Bernard, Dwayne Hendricks and rookie Markus Kuhn." Well, we don't have to worry about holding on to too many DTs anymore.
