Michael Vick: Rib Contusion

Michael Vick has been diagnosed with a rib contusion after an MRI and CT scan of his rib area revealed no broken bones and no broken cartilage, the Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter account announced Tuesday.



Vick left Monday night's preseason game against the New England Patriots after he was hit by defensive end Jermaine Cunningham while throwing an incomplete pass. Vick stayed down for a few moments and was favoring his left side.



Eagles trainers escorted Vick to the locker room for X-rays, which came back negative. Tuesday's tests determined the rib contusion, while no timetable was provided for when the quarterback would return to action.

The pain can be they're for months but out gets better over time. Really no concrete time he will be out

Rib contusions are just another way of saying bruised ribs, he doesn't NEED to take time off but might because now he is even more suseptible to further injuring the ribs. As if Vick wasn't injury prone already.....
