Not really, we seem to have a tiger in the tank with Bennett

Not unless we plan on running a Patriots-esque 2011 offense w/ 2 pass catching TE's on the field every snap (which we know isn't the case). I'm pleased with Bennett as our guy.

I agree, but I think that we are very thin at TE if Bennett happens to get injured. We'd be left with Pascoe and Robinson? Yikes.
A guy like Cooley might provide some insurance against injury, although he's probably not the right guy for that job since he is injured all the time himself . . . .

Chris Cooley was poison pill for us for many years. However I think he has seen his better days and I don't think we'd need him with Bennett and the young Robinson/ Pascoe

Cooley would rather retire a Redskin then play for someone else.
He has hinted at this more then once.

the only value that Cooley would have is if Bennett gets hurt which is always a possibility so if he did come in we would have an excellent backup and we would be able to run the 2 TE sets that we don't run now...

As soon as i saw this news flash across the screen while watching ESPN, the first thing i thought was Reese pic em up!!! He's done damage to us... I know his health is the question, but as the back up 2 martellus and in goal line situations with 2 pass catching TE's down on the goal line that can also block with play action could make us unstoppable with the weapons we already possess. I wouldn't want to defend against that personnel group.
