Linval being a beast will soften the blow of Canty being on PUP. He's looked amazing this preseason. Rocky, too!

Canty and The Anvil normally play two different roles, but Joseph actually looked very good on third down passing situations.

He is a machine out there...not sure we will miss Canty a lot! ya but canty was starting opposite Linval.. EIther way, Linval was the guy i wanted int eh 2nd rd, and it dosen't happen all that often that u get the guy u want , and they play exactly how u expected.. Hes a run stuffing freak-azoid that also makes plays behind the line!

I see big blue going 10-6. Due to a very difficult schedule it is not going to be easy to make the playoffs this year, but the confidence this team should have without plaxico shooting himself in the leg, we should be very confident and i can see them with NO injuries making the playoffs and possibly going deep.

Hahhahah I think somehow you ended up in the wrong thread.

What have I been saying? We'll forget all about Canty by week 6 with how this guy plays.

You have us losing to the browns?

GMan-67

he is very impressive, strong, active, constantly penetrating, great motor ... now if he could only adopt a don't taze me celebration ... but having gone there, wow he is like 1/4 the price of Cofield

oh and i hate to be spelling police, but now that Linval is a STAR, we gotta spell him right in the thread title, at least

you wouldn't have seen a Leonord Marshall is a Giant among men post back in the day, well come to think of it, we didn't have a message board in the 80s ;)

I just wish we had Austin and Canty for some crazy depth.

Sure, it would be nice, but let's not forget that Justin Tuck can always provide the needed depth at DT, where he started his career and first made a name for himself. As good as Canty has become, both Joseph and Bernard have consistently played well above average. We're defensing the run much better this preseason than we did last year. Our one potential vulnerability is on the outside, off the edges, and that should be greatly strengthened with the return of Williams and Boley.

I want to see him do it over a whole season before I put him in the pro bowl. He's been more or less average in his career so far.

Canty is super valuable. He makes it so hard to pass over the middle when he gets his hands up. Rocky is good but just isn't as tall and can't elevate like Canty can.

DTs play in tandem. If Bernard or whomeber doesn play well then Joseph will doubled and wont be as effective as he could be.
LJ is not an island. He needs the other DTs to play well for him to play well.
