I'm really looking forward to the Panthers/Giants game. I mentioned this before but I think the Panthers are on the rise and will be much improved. Looking forward to see the front four getting after Cam and their three headed monster they have in the backfield with Williams, Stewart, and Tolbert.

Steelers vs. Giants....
Two really good defenses going against each other. Plus you have the history of both teams. The Rooney's vs. the Mara's...Ben vs. Eli...
Still trying to get tickets for that game.

you have no idea how lucky you are that you missed the tough years( the 70s)i suppose it is why I tend not to get as jaded as quickly as some on here...because most dont realize what it is like to have your heart broken every year lol....but 1986 was soooooo sweet

We used to get all excited when Rob Carpenter barrelled into the end zone, or was it Ron Johnson????
The refs made sure EVERY call went to the Boston Celtics..........uhhhhhhh......I meant Dallas Cowboys LOL

Johnson was a lone bright spot on some very bad teams early 70s....carpenter was on a couple teams early 80s that were on road to respectability

doubt it....although tucker was good...he was to small to play tight end today I believe....tarkenton pissed off a lot of people on giants coaching staff...which is why he was traded......tucker was never same once fran was gone

This Bob Tucker????? 6'3" 230 lbs, great hands
Averaged about 800 yds and 14 yds per catch while Tarkington was there........made a few Pro Bowls
The Dude could play, got good seperation..........he would be the best tight end on our roster
What did Fran do to piss people off..........win too many games and mess up their draft position?

Ok ok
I get it
Jim Brown would struggle with all these studs
6 foot 2 240 lbs of world class speed ..........he'd be so so.............Poor Homer Jones..........he would never average 20 yds per catch with these super athletes
{Sarcasm}.............Johnny Who??? Rosie Brown could not get on this stellar O Line
Give me a BRAKE

I didnt say any of that...I think Tucker was the 3rd best te in our history behind Bavaro and Shockey....was actually one of the better players of that time..........I firmly believe that you cant compare players of different eras...you compare them to their peers

How can ANYONE in here not say the game on 9/5?
We open up the whole opening week for the NFL season. We bring our 4th Lombardi back home. Can you imagine what the energy inside MetLife Stadium is going to be like Wednesday night? We are going to come out smacking them in the mouth.

Lets agree to disagree on that one
Babe Ruth would be Babe Ruth today, Jim Brown and Gayle Sayers would dominate now as they dominated then........what your not factoring in is the smaller talent pool........today you have 2000 NFL Athletes from a population of 360 million.......Back then maybe 800-1000? The teams were composed of the best of the best.......they were tougher, less injury prone, more natural athletes.....LT for instance never lifted a weight......unbelieveable but these super athletes are/were cut from a different cloth.........I'll give you one more **** Butkus 6'5" 265 lbs and moved like a cat......think Chase Blackburn could take him on?
