I'm told WR David Douglas did clear waivers. So likely headed to Giants' practice squad. #nyg (https://twitter.com/search/?q=%23nyg&src=hash)

Also, TE Larry Donnell signed to the practice squad. (Sorry for flooding your timeline, folks. Lot going on.) #nyg (https://twitter.com/search/?q=%23nyg&src=hash)

DE Matt Broha signs to the Giants' practice squad. Had some interest elsewhere but stayed where he's comfortable. #nyg (https://twitter.com/search/?q=%23nyg&src=hash)

Haha... sure the kid had a nice camp and pre season but we have 6 WR's that's better than him

With some of the posts you'd have thought we cut Nicks

I was playing along haha

Let's get together next off season and work on our chemistry... we can't keep having miscommunications like this all season!

No Calvin Johnson (or Hakeem Nicks) comparisons here, but it looked like he had the potential to be a good KR/PR.

He got cut AND cleared waivers. Apparently we are all too high on this guy, there has got to be some reason he isnt catching on. Is it because hes white and white guys can't jump? jk.. But in all seriousness I'm glad to hear he is headed to our PS; You never know when one of our recievers could go down (crosses fingers).

Lol, I was joking, I didn't see anyone making any comparisons but you would of thought we cut a stud

And the bold doesn't warrant a roster spot.

I agree, i just think it's good that he got to stay with the team so he can be evaluated some more.

Surprising enough because he was having a good camp, no he did not make the PS.

Exactly if you can not jump you cant not hurdle Newman which is a requirement to playing on the giants.

Forgot red, thought it was obviously a jokeI got it without the red, well played.

Now answer this for me. Will all of his huge supporters here be happy that he will stick with us or will they be upset at the rest of the league for also not recognizing his otherworldly talents? lol

Broha cleared waivers, i. e. nobody else wanted him. It's not like he had any choice, if he wants any chance of having an NFL career, he goes to the practice squad. Not sure I agree with the team keeping 6 DE on the active roster, and two more on the practice squad. Eventually somebody is going to devise an offense that totally nuetralizes these guys. Let's hope it's not in the near future.

We probably won't see Douglas pulled up to the big team unless a return man goes down, that's his real worth. As a receiver he's not that special.

Yes, the thing is he cleared waivers. It was our practice squad or somebody else's. I'm not sure he made the best decision parking himself behind 6 or 7 other DE on the Giants. Careerwise, he probably would have been smarter look for a team with less DE talent.

If anyone was interested, they could have plucked him off waivers. I assume they meant there was interest from other teams to join their practice squad, not active roster. Broha would not have had any choice if another team wanted to add him to their active roster while he was on the waiver wire.

I think he made the absolute best decision, considering we have some of the best coaches and THE best D-line talent in the league that he can learn from and be a sponge.

I'm very aware of that, lol. He chose to stay with us on our PS.

With some of the posts you'd have thought we cut NicksI beg to differ...I don't believe Jernigan is more worthy of a roster spot than Douglas! He really has shown nothing and at this point, I think we have seen all that he can offer.

I'm not a much of a Jernigan fan myself but you're saying that after a rookie season during a lockout without OTA's, rookie camp, training camp, practices... etc?

He has talent he's just short lol. He is MUCH better than Douglas. Douglas is a HOFer around here it seems.

I would rather have David Douglas over Jernigan any day. I watched Douglas compete for a few years now here in Tucson. He might not be flashy but he can make plays and secure the football and isn't that what we want?

That is how he kinda played at Arizona, but at times he did play the outside and looked fine. Maybe I am just a homer but I like David Douglas.
