So this year we will now face two former backs in ware and jacobs. Not too worries about Ware, sure the bog boy will be riled up in San Fran.

Good for him. Tampa is where old Giants go to die, however.

More Mike Sullivan, I think.

Blount can't pass protect for crap. Looks like Ware has found a team for his usual job.

Cool Papa B.

Boy, ever since he took the coaching job at Tampa, Schiano has had a jones for the Giants players and coaches. He even traded up in the draft to try and keep the Giants from getting Martin.

Hey, Schiano....STOP SWEATING US!!!!!

LINK (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/09/former_giants_running_back_dj.html)

Excerpt: "Former Giants (http://www.nj.com/giants) running back D.J. Ware, released by the team on Friday (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/08/giants_cut_dj_ware_ending_runn.html), has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team and Ware's agency have announced.

Ware, who lost out to Andre Brown and Da'Rel Scott for the final spots behind Ahmad Bradshaw and David Wilson on the Giants' roster, will join former Giants quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan in Tampa.
Sullivan was a Giants assistant coach from 2004 through this past season and is now the Buccaneers' offensive coordinator." Read more...

Best of luck to the guy. People on the board complained about him but he was good in his role for this team.

Solid, but unspectacular. Brown moved the chains & hit the hole hard in preseason, Ware ran like he had cement shoes

Funny in that TB supposedly fleeced us by drafting Doug Martin right ahead of us (supposedly forcing us to draft David Wilson) and now they sign Ware.

Preseason stats:

David Wilson: 28 carries / 141 yds. = 4.7 ypc. and 2, 20+ yd. runs

Doug Martin: 27 carries / 97 yds. = 3.6 ypc. and 0, 20+ yd. runs

Apparently the Seahawks and Raiders were also interested, he'll probably be their 3rd RB behind Martin and Blount.

Too bad we had to cut him, he was a good pass blocker.

Good Luck D.J. Ware.

Yep! Except when the Bucs play the Giants but stay healthy.

I am happy he landed somewhere. He was a good part of our run with some clutch 2pt conversions. Played under the radar and did what was asked. Good luck DJ except when your playing us.

Agreed....I busted on DJ Ware now and then, but really, he was a steady, dependable backup.

It was just a numbers game at the end.

Ward was much better then DJ and flourished in our system. He signd a big FA contract and flopped never to be heard from again. DJ will do the same. He didn't do a whole lot here, he'll do even less in Tampa.

hate sour grapes.... he got his chances gl ware unless u playing us this yearAt first, I heard it from the reporter setting up the piece before commercials. I figured he over stated it to create some hype like those guys tend to do. Then I heard it in (what's his names?) own words. I nearly drove off the road lol.
