The LBers or the people coaching them/calling defensive plays are to blame. Only two plays killed us tonight (other than an outstanding grab by Miles Austin over double coverage for the TD and Demarco Murray escaping the double missed tackles in the backfield).
1. The slant. Romo got 80% of his yards, and the pass that sealed the game, on the slant. That is the job of the LBs dropping into coverage to shut down.
2. The cutback run. Demarco Murray got 80% of his yards (other 20% was the sideline run on two missed tackles) on the cutback lanes. Also incumbent on the LBers to fill those holes.
Not over reacting. We'll get a lot of this corrected, but that was the culprit tonight... in my opinion.
On offense the lack of a run game is the problem (but secondary to the defense). Don't blame pass protection. That will break down when there is LITERALLY NO RUN GAME to keep them honest.
