You have to admit there were a lot of holding penalties that did not get called tonight, from both the Cowboys and Giants o-lines. Kiwi is right but its not as if the refs were favoring you guys.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. There was a ton of holding on both sides.

Just wondering what you guys thought of this comment.

He sounds like a little kid, he needs to get over it and move forward. The less our guys open their mouths to the media the better.

I think the refs did ok considering. But they clearly had a hard time with the holding calls. They got a couple but I think they were mostly on Dallas. I think Kiwanuka said that with a smile so no problem there. Both OLs were holding and both were getting away with as much as they could. Both DLs are a strength and both OLs need some work. I was pleasantly surprised by the Dallas OL getting Murray some yards later on. Not so much with the NY running game. Both teams inside LBs were better this year. Rivers played well. Hard to tell what the NY secondary will be like with all the people out and injured. That could be a problem for NY. I'm surprised Eli and Cruz aren't getting more heat. Dallas's DBs are way better this year but I don't know about the depth there either.

The holding wasn't the issue for me since it was occurring equally on both sides and not being called equally on both sides, as mentioned already.
My issue was Victor Cruz being tackled 2 seconds before the ball arrived in the end zone and not being called. No clue how they missed that one.

Thats pretty funny coming from a fan base that will use ANY excuse to explain away a loss, but who criticize other fan bases for doing the same thing! It's the number one reason why i hate Cowgirl fans.....sore losers and even worse winners!
Blather on Cowgirl nation....Romo doing well in the regular season is nothing new, it just makes Romo's eventual THUD that much sweeter when the games get to crunch time and he does that ONE thing to doom you guys, when the playoffs are in sight!

Oh please. Get over yourself and more importantly get over the idea that your team is any different than the rest in the NFL.

What Kiwi said isn't on the same level as the Packers and 9ers statements (which were ridiculed here), but it's in the same ballpark. Excuses are excuses.

Agreed with the missed call on Cruz. But I think the calls balanced each other out.

They pushed the Cowboys back continually to the point of a 1st and 30 (and almost out of FG range), but they came right back and scored a TD.

And then took away a 'would be game icing' Murray 3rd down conversion by calling a hold on Witten. But the Cowboys still converted on 3rd and 11.

There were a ton of holding that wasn't called last night for sure. I still refuse to use the refs as an excuse for why Dallas won the game. Dallas had I think 3 times as many penalties and still won the game.

Understand. Many of the posters here have the integrity not to, or at least realized that most of the calls eventually balanced out.

I think it's pretty funny how he put it, but at the end of the day, it's just an excuse. The Cowpokes executed their gameplan better than us on both sides of the ball. They were the better team last night. Everything else is just window dressing.

Yeah I've since been able to dig up more info on the context he said it in. Still kind of an excuse, but he wasn't pouty or anything about it.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports/post/20068948I thought it was JPP that should have done the complaining. Go back and look. he had guys draped on him all night. Even on 2 of the TD passes romo would have been sacked if not for the holds. however they wre not calling them either way so i am fine with it

There was holding that wasn’t called from both teams. The referrees let them play. It wsn’t a big deal.

Kiwi is just a little frustrated and maybe a little bit of humble pie will do us some good. Dallas Cowboys were the better team last night and they deserved to win. We will beat them next time.

Why would Eli be taking heat for last night? Sure, he could have gotten out a bit quicker on his leads blocks on running plays but other than that.........

He never should have said it. Making excuses and sounding weak in pro football is a no no. That said, there was a lot of cuddling between both clubs :P

He never should have said it. Making excuses and sounding weak in pro football is a no no. That said, there was a lot of cuddling between both clubs :PWas there calls or Non calls in this case that effected the game. sure. there are in every game for all 32 teams. It just seems in last several years the giants have had more then their fair share of them the actually cost them a win vs GB last season and several other cases I wont mention here as there are tons of threads on them

With that said, Dallas will come to a few times in the season where its fanbase will be complaining about a loss because of a bad call or lack of a call. What goes around comes around. not saying cruz hold was the difference as the giants would of still lost by 3. however when you see a star DE getting not just held but almost tackled on every play its gets a little comical. also was listening to a sports station that was saying that BB was really happen what he saw the cowboys getting away with on the Giants WRs.. the announcer said BB will have his players do it all day until its called

Amen brother. It's a glorious thing walking around here in NJ with a different Cowboys shirt on every day! The sad/frustrated looks are priceless. The Giants didn't do a whole lot to win that game. They couldn't stop Romo. They had trouble with our defense. They had a huge advantage in number of penalties, but couldn't stop us regardless of how many yards we needed to cover. We had a significant advantage in yards and time of possession. Dallas beat the Giants. Period. Kiwi needs to go suck a pacifier like the "baby" he is. While he's at it, he can have mommy rub some A&D ointment on his chest where Murray crushed him to start that big run. Go Cowboys!!!

Enjoy it while you can, I'm sure this makes up for all those years not winning a playoff game since 1996.

No more or less than this game's lack of "matter", unless you win the SB (this year).

If the rest of the season allows O-lines to hold as much as the game with you guys, our pass rush
advantage may be negated for the entire season. If the new refs are just not going to call
penalties, I suggest we commit them out the wazoo and see what sticks.

Kiwi got tackled on the broken play long run by Murray.

That being said, the Giants did not lose this game because of the officiating.
