Correct me if I am wrong, but if Dallas loses tonight, we would no longer have to win 2 out of 3. We could lose the next two and beat Dallas no matte what they do vs Philly and still win the division. As far as I understand that is the only benefit of the Cowboys losing, this game doesn't affect us in any other way including tie breaking scenarios.

Tampa is not a common opponent for the Cowboys and Giants if the tiebreakers came down to common opponent.

But say in your scenario, that the Cowboys lose tonight and beat the Eagles and we lose the next 2. That would put the Cowboys at 8-7 going into the finale and the Giants 7-8 going into week 17. Yes we would have to beat the Cowboys, to get to 8-8 and have the head to head tiebreaker.

But lets not forget the Eagles, even though most of us think they are done. If the Eagles win vs the Jets, Redskins and Cowboys and finish 8-8, the Giants and Cowboys finish 8-8, the Eagles win the division(head to head over Cowboys, and better divisional record vs the Giants).

So its important the Eagles get 1 more loss to get them to 9 losses and take them out of the playoff talk. That will then mean that either the Giants or Cowboys could win the division, even if they have an 8-8 record. There isnt any scenario where the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles could finish at 7-9, only because the Cowboys and Giants have 1 more meeting.

Although that senario is true. That is no way to enter playoffs. I don't want to lose next two, then beat cowboys. Losing next two would have us losing 6/7 overall. That in no way shape or form Ida team that belongs in the Playoffs IMO

Those are all really nice, but all the GMEN have to do is win tomorrow and the last game, which is what they are going to do, beating the Jets is just icing on the cake.

Tampa is in the NFC, so it would be nice to have them beat Dallas tonight.

If Cowboys lose tonight and lose to Philly the following week which is a very lose-able game for them..... The Giants could wrap things up if they handle the Skins and Jets.

So what I'm trying to say is ...Lets go Bucs.

Giants could wrap things up with wins the next two Weeks even if Cowboys win tonight, as long as the lose to the Eagles next week.

Well you can forget tonight but if they lose to Philly and we beat Wash and the Jets, we clinch the division before we play Dallas week 17. Our common opponents would favor us.
