Good to see him giving people a reason not to "hate" him... let's hope this is the beginning of him starting to play the way we expected from the beginning

The kid certain from a division III school, it was going to take a year or two for him to get with the speed of the game, plies his injuries have not helped, like I said eat crow bandwagoners. This is the problem with today generation, always wanting instant gratification.

I'll take 5

Honestly this was his big chance. I mean when did he have such a good opportunity playing behind guys like Smith, Manningham, Nicks, and Cruz. His one chance he had a bad injury.

I'm with you on that. Nice to see he actually did something for once. But 4 years is a long time to wait. I've been saying I want to see something but not holding my breath.

Sure he did. Moss still has 100 more yards and 3 more TDs than Barden has.

i really love calling things dead on. i know i know, "you r so full of it" (which will come from someone who said barden sucked)

i learned the hard way thru cruz, u dont judge a guy until he has a legit shot. barden got his, and HE IS KLLING IT!

I love his long arms and hands...his speed not so much. Although he's having a great game it's basically the defense playing soft. He's making one juke and he's wide open.

Not complaining though cause he's taking advantage of his opportunities and doing the most with his receptions.

Dude is out there kicking *** and ya'll are still kicking dirt on that man. He came out as a project, we knew it was gonna take time. Just bc some of ya'll had visions of the new Plax running in your minds and trashed him, give him his respect.

Yea, Josh Norman is playing like total poo, lol. But Ramses is doing a good job finding holes in coverage, and Eli has all day to find him.

exactly big blue. certain posters didnt believe in him, i guess they had their reasons. however, THE COACHES AND ORG. believe in him, which is mre than enough for me, even tho i have supported barden from day 1 bc his skill set intrigues me. he didnt just make his career, but he certainly showed the talent he does have.
he's earned a bigger role in this offense imo. he's getting ton of seperation, making tough grabs, YAC...GREAT game so far and its early. 100 yds in the 1rst half???what did nicks say he wsnt playing so he could wear bardens uniform and get 1v1

Just another example of how if Eli gets protection he can make any pro receiver look good. Let's not get crazy over Barden yet. This defense is playing terrible tonight. Eli is putting on a clinic.

But, good for him. This is a big opportunity for him.

Giant's coaches maybe looked at me talking to another poster on here about Barden and say hey, we might as well use him. He is doing well against any db at any level.

Lets not forget that Barden has also been matched up against a 5th round rookie for most of this game... We have to see him against more quality players, see if he can still do this and do this consistently.

I think everyone is happy for him, but when you have a poster demanding someone eat crow you're going to meet some resistance. Like anything, let's see him do it consistently and take it further before he is anointed.

not necessarily true, the staff needs to know before contracts expire if he's worth the monies, and calling ppl out on a suspect prospect such as Barden is silly. He got a chance to prove himself tonight, how much of it is Eli? Seems like anyone the Gmen plug into the equation fits.

He did what you would expect a good receiver to do, took advantage of the rookie. They had to swing the kid help in the second half and Cruz seemed to get a few more targets. I have always liked Barden and am very happy for him; however, he has to come back in the Eagles game and be a positive force. I do like the idea of having another solid target for eli.

i'm really happy for him, you could see his face on the sidelines and he was lit up and excited that he finally got to prove himself a little.

Let's see if he can stay healthy and bring more than 1 game in 4 years before we start getting all excited about what we have in Barden.

Anyone else catch that hug he gave Eli...nice to see that he gets it. Some WR can be such diva's and have a great game only to brag about how they should have gotten the ball more. It is not hard to understand when you see something like that why the coaches weren't ready to give up on him...unlike Cam, who's doing a superman pose when his team is down 23-7 and getting their asses handed to them on national TV by a number of back-ups (including the DB's)...some guys just get it, some think it's all about them.

Buddy333

Well Nicks should be well rested for their next game. Lets see if Barden can gay a few more catches when defenses have to concentrate on Nicks and Cruz more. Great game for Barden. Yeah, it was against a rookie for the most part, but he caught everything and it was his 1st start. Lets hope he progresses from here on out.
