K Lawrence Tynes was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He was 5-for-5 vs. the Panthers and is 10-for-10 on the season.

Patricia Traina ‏@Patricia_Traina
Tynes is the first Giant to win the special teams award since Domenik Hixon in Week 13 of the 2009 season and the first Giants kicker to be honored since John Carney in Week 3 in 2008.

Mr. Perfect Lawrence Tynes is 10-for-10 on FGs this season & has converted team-record 166 straight PATs dating back to 10/21/2007

I remember the days when i had to peek through my fingers when watching Tynes' field goals. He's been lights out this season and he really deserves this award. Good for him.

Well Deserved!

Lawrence Tynes is having a great season so far and he is one of the best clutch kickers in the NFL IMO.

Just re-sign Tynes, no need to wait until the end of season, he has balls and he's money. Not many kickers can handle New York either.

It was only a matter of Tynes.

Too corny?

This is actually a bad thing because it means the team has trouble finishing drives in the endzone. This won't cut it against decent teams.
