I don't know all the details. This is incoming news on CNN. Homeland Security has warned NFL that there is a terror threat involving NFL stadiums. No specific ones named.

Yeah, CNN was speculating that it could be in the form of dirty bombs planted around stadiums.

CNN also said they don&#39;t know how serious the threat is yet.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Web site is claiming that seven National Football League gridiron stadiums will be attacked with radiological dirty bombs this weekend, but the U.S. government on Wednesday expressed doubts about the threat.

The threat, posted Oct. 12, was part of an ongoing Internet conversation titled &quot;New Attack on America Be Afraid.&quot; It mentioned NFL stadiums in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled to be held this weekend.

The Homeland Security Department alerted authorities and stadium owners in those cities, as well as the NFL, of the Web message but said the threat was being viewed &quot;with strong skepticism.&quot; Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke said there was no intelligence that indicated such an attack was imminent, and that the alert was &quot;out of an abundance of caution.&quot;

&quot;The department strongly encourages the public to continue to go about their plans, including attending events that involve large public gatherings such as football games,&quot; Knocke said.

The FBI also expressed doubt about the threat.

The nation&#39;s alert level remains at yellow, signaling an elevated risk of an attack. The threat level for airline flights is at orange, a higher level, where it has been since a foiled plot to bomb U.S.-bound commercial jets was revealed on Aug. 10.

Um..you could get killed just stepping out your front door...better yet..in your own bathroom. You have a higher percentage of being killed by lightning...a shark...a falling tree...hail...tornado..hurricane..earthquake..and millions of other such scenarios..than by a &quot;terrorist attack&quot;. So..a &quot;threat&quot; on stadiums means nothing to me. Thats why they call it &quot;terrorism&quot; They try to terror-ise you...they dont actually have to do anything. GO GINTS&#33;

DHS advises NFL about uncorroborated threat against stadiums

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Department of Homeland Security has sent an advisory to the National Football League and local officials advising of a possible, uncorroborated threat against some NFL stadiums.

The threat, posted on a Web site, alleges that dirty bombs could be used this weekend against seven stadiums -- in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland. The bombs were to be delivered by truck, the posting said.

But, DHS said, the posting is not considered credible, and the information was being shared only in an abundance of caution so that league officials and others could determine what steps they want to take. (Posted 4:21 p.m.)

The October Surprise
</div>

The October Surprise was Bush signing away Habaes Corpus after this lame congress passed the legislation - and then said this will protect our freedom and fight the terrorists. Huh? Does he not understand the words coming out of his own mouth?

This shrub just put the nail in the Republican&#39;s coffin. What a shame too. I used to consider myself a Republican until around 9/11. Then these guys just threw every single traditional American value out the window and ripped this Constitution to shreds. We&#39;re worried about the terrorists? I think we need to be more worried about a political party that is destroying everything that this country has fought for and stood for the past 230 years.

The only way we can beat the terrorists is if we are unrelenting in our pursuit of freedom and are vigiliant civilians in protecting that freedom. We can&#39;t hide in our basements with bags over our heads. And hopefully our government can actually fight the terrorists and protect us like their job is.

As soon as he won he had the concrete barriers removed they had along one of the streets Pennsylvania Ave closed down that they shut down due to terrorist threats.

Even Condi said in an interview last week: &quot;Atleast the Democratic administration tired&quot; to contain North Korea.

Past administrations have had one-on-one talks with N. Korea, and agreements were made. Nonetheless, North Korea eventually broke those agreements during Bush&#39;s first term, but atleast diplomatic efforts were attempted. The Bush administration has been so hung up on not accepting one on one talking with N. Korea. They want to do everything unilaterally except that one case. I do believe that all states from the region should be talking to settle this issue but the N. Koreans have been unmoving in this multiparty talks. What resolutions have the Bush administration proposed other than empty threats? We can&#39;t even control a country whose military was in shambles, they expect us to actually be able to fight a real military? Maybe if the military got the resources they wanted and were allowed to actually conduct war rather than be hung on Donald &quot;I shake hands with fascists&quot; Rumsfield&#39;s lease we would actually be successful. Isn&#39;t is ironic that those who were considered liberals in their time were the only Presidents to succeed in war for this country?
