I know we have not seen enough of him but what do you guys think? Is this kdi making it happen when he is in there? So many of my friends are telling me this tha and the other thing. I want it, I hope he can be that corner because I bet Corey walks after this season (fa right?).

Is Prince ready? Injuries not included

he looks really good...when hes on the field. at least imo. love this kids game, I understand he's virtually a rookie, but as a mold of clay with the talent he has, i am extremely excited bc I know TC and co. will mold that clay into a shutdown corner

Prince and Hosley look like our future CBs. CWeb will be a round a few more seasons, but who knows, he may move to safety if he continues to struggle right now. He looks like he lost a step, which is understandable for an 8 year CB. If CWeb does go to safety it may open up money if we let KP walk who is a FA (I hope not) or Rolle.

Then again, it would probably be better to just let CWeb go after 2014 and pay KP.

I don't believe KP is going anywhere. As safeties can play later into their 30s. KP will stay

I thought Corey Web was a FA this yr?????

Imagine we stole this kid. I hate how teams constantly lose players. I miss Aaron

Webster is contracted through 2013. Got another year of him, at least. He'll be very useful for the young guys' development.

Prince just needs to stay healthy.

Webster's final year is the 2013 season. This should be more than an ample amount of time for Prince to secure a permanent starting position as the #1 CB. Coming out of college, I'd say Prince was the more physical player and was also better at mirroring wide receivers. We just have to hope it all translates out for us. Don't be surprised if we take another CB early in the next draft since you need 3-4 good CBs in this league.

I mean Aaron Ross was just starting to look awesome. But thats what these kids do. They develope and just want to get paid. But on the SB contenders like the Giants and Pitt youhave to bow down a bit and pay to play on a contender. Ross was 2x the player last yr then he is this yr. And mind you he is 1-2 now on Jacksonville. He would be a lock down in this giants defense

My boys a die hard Cornhusker fans. Jet fan too. Says soon enough we will be talking about this guy like they do about Revis

I JUST DONT SEE IT! And I know the position. I better go get this kids jersey and start supporting

Ross' play seemed to be dictated by the importance of the game. It was quite odd, really.

Ross 12 passes defensed and 4 picks last yr with 46 tackles. DAMN

TheEnigma

Ross was a bit inconsistent for my tastes. You never knew if you were getting the 1st round Aaron Ross or barely UFL starting material Aaron Ross. He's a good depth player but not enough for what he makes in Jacksonville now.

Ross was never that great. He was a solid plug in, but he was ranked as the #4 CB at one point last year. CWeb, TT, Prince then Ross. Can't hate on him too much though because he was a starting CB for us in 2 SB wins, so he was doing something right. Jacksonville has a ton more problems then Ross right now, which is why they are 1-2.

I think he was better then what on poaper showed. I thought he was one of our bettter qbs last yr.
TT and Prince didn't play last yr. And C Web is an enigma-sorry enigma. lol

I mean I def agree that we should have have payed him and he did come and go sometimes. But last yr was def his most consistent season. And yeah he has 2 rings and was a huge part in both. C Web is the worst man, lol! The guy goes on SB runs and locks down more ppl then a state pen, but then he gets ripped all day by vincent jackson. I just think we expect too much from db's. They are not all revis, those WR's are pretty decent too I suppose

I dont know what I was looking at or how I came across this, but Aaron Ross was getting killed on the Jaguars boards I think. Absolutely killed.

Kenny Phillips contract runs out, and honestly I don't know if hes good or not. If he asks for too much money, I could see the Giants easily saying no thanks.

I love KP. You never see him get beat over the top. Well not never but rarely, and he hits with pop. And he came back fro a viscous knee inrjury. Him and Rolle with the whole U thing got something going on back there

My bro in law is like 25. He brings the old man along. Fun as hell. I play QB and sling it all over the place. Keeps ya young. Back Surgery next week though so I am on the IR for a bit. I need to transition into some softball though, softball and beer time!

Rolle is out of position mre than he should be. I like the guys attitude but he lack discipline with his assignments IMO.

Yeah that guy listens to noone, but pretty amazing that he is not always reamed out. Risk taker but decently successful I suppose.
he is a big voice on our defense though

The league I play in is pretty competetive. Modified fast pitch. Age ranges from kids in their 20's to guys in the 50s and on. No beer involved at all.
All ball busters but everyone wants to win.

which is a pity because if he was more disciplined to the scheme he and the D would be better for it.

Prince looks good. made a nice play against the panthers. He's just gotta stay healthy. Also next season the Giants should think about moving Webster to safety. Especially if KP hits the bricks.

But thats what these kids do. They develope and just want to get paid.

Players aren't fans. They are employees. Employees that are on contracts that aren't guaranteed, which makes it a lot more difficult for guys to stay loyal to their employer. Financially, the best thing to do is to take the deal that offers the most money up front. The risky thing to do is to take a lesser deal because there's too many variables that are out of your control in regards to you getting cut before you see the bulk of the money in your contract; your employer drafting a kid in R1 at your position, a serious injury, getting bumped down on the depth chart because someone else is playing better than you etc.

Ross did the right thing regardless of how bad he ends up playing in Jax.

The infamous "Austin lost it in the lights" play? Yeah, Austin burned Ross on that, and it could of ended our season.
