View Full Version : Nicks is a mess

Clearly this guys body is breaking down. And it'll only get worse with age. early 20's and cant stay on the field. Prediction: he plays sparingly, if at all the rest of the season. Things are worse with him than what the team is releasing.

He just has setbacks all of the time. Doesn't mean he's a mess.

It really is falling already. It's pretty sad this type of response. Nicks will probably be ready by next week.

That's why I say he's a mess. You are right, Guys play through stuff. Nicks does not. Meaning hes got more than little issues and set backs. Troubling when he cant play at age 24. & all of his stuff is non contact. Made worse perhaps with contact later, but the original injuries were non contact.

Nicks will be fine,he's a pro. He knows his body& he will command attention on the field , so no matter what he will help this team one way or another. Please stop making mountains out of mole hills this is common practice for all these players throughout the entire season
they play banged up thats the nature of the beast.Go Big Blue.

I don't know about him being a mess per say but I do think it's realistic that he would retire earlier than most receivers around his age (not counting crappy ones who get flushed out).

He's our best receiver, he broke his foot, he's been playing through it and it was stepped on two games ago. Can we just hope he gets better before we move any closer to the cliff?

He plays hurt and still continues to produce. Do not discount him. A hurt ankle/leg feels bad, to keep an elite NFL receiver off the field means it must be serious. That said, I'll take Nicks over any receiver in the league right now, dudes money in the bank.

I wouldn't really call my comment a cliff mover. It's just a simple observation for his long term status. I have no worries about him while he is with the Giants.

the only thing that concerns me is that it isnt his foot thats the issue. its his knee. his knee swelled up after 1 day of practice. i believe we need him for philly. but he if cant be his usual self, it doesnt make sense to play him and risk further issues.

In an NFL season, teams walk a tightrope over Niagara falls! Some make it, others don't. Last year we made it with just a few slip ups!

That's a bunch of crap. If his body was really 'breaking down' as you call it, he would be on the decline production-wise. He's not though.

He'd likely be in better condition if he hadn't missed all of camp and preseason. It seems he wasn't in good enough football shape for the long haul. He'll get it together and then hopefully stay healthy through our BYE week.

If Nicks is a mess then that is good cause we get to see other players to see where they are at. Yet it is not his fault that some dbs stepped on his foot wich he intentionally did. I'm not buying it that is was by accident.

With Nicks out..and yes I say out because doubtful means "not playing" in my eyes. Cruz being double teamed will result in him being a non factor. Hard to say what our Pass game is going to be like. I actually think this game is going to come down to how well we run the ball.

I actually think this game is going to come down to how well we run the ball.A lot of posters talk about things not realizing that football is all about the matchups. Just cause some players get doubled doesn't mean good things will stop from happening. Those players who double Cruz have attributes and both of them may not be able to match that one man.

In a non divisional game I would agree with you. But a division rival it's foolish to think they don't know how to game plan to neutralize our play makers.

if we are undefeated without him.....then what the fuss.....next man up
and let him heal.

same with bradshaw.

we have viable backups now.......use them and let the injured rest
and lick their wounds.

the nfl season is a long war of attrition , use the entire roster ,

unfortunately ; that's why we stay injured.....because we make/let them play injured -
this coaching staff does not trust the next man up.
they would rather use the wounded then someone unproven or has made a mistake.

drop a pass or fumble once or miss a blocking assignment and
you are off the roster until sarge forgives you.

practice makes perfect.....sure they fall...but let them get back on the horse and ride.

we really do win despite the philosophy around here , not because of it.

Chicken little is that you?

if you are talkin' to me then the answer is absolutely not.
the sky is definitely not falling , actually i think we have a pretty strong team.
the defense is still a little suspect but there is no team we can't outscore.

i'm sayin' we have healthy weapons on the roster , lets use 'em and blow some sh!t up !!!

let the broken stuff get repaired 100% for use later on down the road when we will certainly need it.
