Excerpt: "The New York Giants (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york-giants/) go into Philadelphia (http://www.giants101.com/tag/philadelphia/) tonight with an opportunity to take a big step forward in the fight for the NFC East crown. Since losing their opening game to the Cowboys, the Giants have put together back to back wins to improve to 2-1. Philadelphia (http://www.giants101.com/tag/philadelphia/) is 2-1 as well, but coming off of a beating at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals and with question marks at quarterback as Michael Vick continues to struggle with turnovers.
GAMEPLAN
Crowd the box early in an effort to keep LeSean McCoy (http://www.giants101.com/tag/lesean-mccoy/) from setting the tempo for the Philadelphia (http://www.giants101.com/tag/philadelphia/) offense
The best way for the Philadelphia (http://www.giants101.com/tag/philadelphia/) Eagles to shake the offensive slump they're in is to have Michael Vick to turn around and hand the football (http://www.giants101.com/tag/football/) to one of the two or three best running backs in football (http://www.giants101.com/tag/football/). Early and often. And even the stubborn Andy Reid is going to have to accept that that's the only way to make it easier on Vick and this passing game to get back on track. The Giants can't afford to let McCoy get in a rhythm early. He's extremely shifty, extremely elusive, and when this kind of runner gets into a groove they are very difficult to slow down. New York will need to be aggressive and bring their safeties closer to the line of scrimmage particularly at the start of this game, so Corey Webster (http://www.giants101.com/tag/corey-webster/) and Prince Amukamara will have to play at a high level on the outside."
