View Full Version : Who's going to get cut when Tyler Sash comes back ....

It's not funny anymore with all the injuries our secondary is taking but Tyler can bring some relief even more with Rolle baged-up and Phillips down with a MCL. He was the " QB " in special teams per Tom Coughlin and he adds a plus to this unit. The question here is , who's getting the axe when Tyler gets activated ?

I thought for sure it would have been Stevie Brown, but now with KP injured, and Brown actually playing pretty well the past two games, I think he may stick.

My guess would be Coe, Tyron, Scott, or Robinson

If memory serves me well we have 5 CB on the team and cutting Coe or Tryon will leave us very thin. Scott ? Maybe but with the way AB is playing and being banged-up I doubt it. Robinson ? The JPP of TE? Heh could be.

Well Tyron is an awful CB, he is on the team because hes a very good ST player. I think you are correct about having to keep all the CBs for depth though.

Maybe Petrus gets cut again.

Let's cut David Carr, let's not kid ourselves, he's useless.

Yeah, we lose Eli, we are done for anyway. Make Rolle the backup QB.

I don't think Stevie Brown is going anywhere. With Phillips going down we are going to need him...my guess is Petrus gets cut again

Petrus would be my guess but I was figuring he'd go when/if Canty comes back.

Phillips is week to week with an MCL injury BTW

Here's a question though, Sash is shown on the active roster, are we sure anyone has to go?

Funny but I didn't even realize that he was still on the team.

well we cut him to bring in an OT from Filthadelphia DJ Jones, but he didn't pass the physical. Then they resigned Petrus

im thinking Kuhn, i know he has been part of the rotation and he has a motor, but i cant see another team picking him up off waivers, so it's a safe move ... ummm, well there is NE, but i think they had their lame payback wavier claim vs. us already

so then we could sign to PS ... now this move would require Austin to play much better than he has ... oh now i thought Bernard didnt play much in the 2nd half, hope he is not banged up ... then we also need to consider when we think Canty will be ready ... if he is on target for Week 6, then that helps the decision

i think we have to keep all DBs right now

Petrus is a possibility as mentioned above, but i think Diehl's status is key to an O-line cut

then we do have the short term IR thing ... hate to see Hakeem hit that list b/c we missed him in a huge way at Philly ... maybe K-Phil, but they are saying week to week

so anyway, im guessing Kuhn and another reason is our Nascar package where guys like Kiwi line up at DT reducing the number of DT snaps we need to cover

god that was a heartbreaker last night ... not discourgaged, but we all hate being 0-2 in the Division ... when i saw that thing on target i thought we did it, like everyone im sure ... then it was like literally the air just got let out ... couldnt believe it

Correct ! I counted the total players in the roster and they are 54 ! I guess the axe will fall down when Canty back.

RF made a good observation about the actual roster and I think nobody has to go when Sash returns. That been said when Canty gets activated the axe will fall .

I was thinking it has to be Tryon but the Giants are so thin at corner that he'll likely stay by default.

So I'd say Petrus also.

My guess would be Petrus for the returning Sash, and Canty will probably bump Austin or Kuhn off the list when he returns. Beckum will likely stay on PUP through the season and may end up off the team if we keep Bennett...
