No one that was with me expected a loss, even down 14-0. We knew Eli would make sure we had a chance to fight back and take over the game.

I'm just curious on how others felt.

Honestly, I would have said it was a coin flip, had you asked me after that deep ball Weeden threw

With the Giants, those situation go two ways and two ways only: (1) We get our **** together and end up absolutely dominating (today)

(2) We tuck our ****s between our legs and act like we no longer have enough testosterone to continue playing ('08 Browns, '09 Saints...the list goes on)

I was starting to doubt our chances, not going to lie. Coming out flat and our D not getting pressure.

We were in a tight spot, but I knew the Browns would run out of Steam. They got points off a turnover and a big play, and eventually blew their load. When the onslaught began, I think the Browns were to bewildered to know what to do. Also, hey didn't know how to cover Cruz, on that PIC that was a clear Pass interference as he slapped cruz arms before the ball got there. Talk about a flukey interception. So.....know I never doubted, but I'm sure people were calling for the "Tip Toe burglar" Bradshaw's head, and talking about our two turnover putrid defense lol. I didn't even visit the boards during the game, can't be around some of these pessimistic people.

I did not like the start of course, but I knew it was early and Eli and the offense had plenty of time to make up 14 points vs the Browns. But the Giants cannot afford to get down 14 points to the 49ers and other quality/playoff teams they will be facing in coming weeks.

Nope....Not as long as Eli is healthy.

As long as we got Eli, I'll believe no lead is safe from us.

Who were some of the posters who were going to crack first? I know it was not I. Oh and I was closest to the score I had Giants 43 and Browns 27 as the final.

No. Every team is gonna be up for the world champs. Browns blew their load early & we outscored them 41-13 the rest of the way. This was the last easy game of the yr. Next 11 games will be the toughest in the NFL, schedule wise. 4 more tough division games, & 7 teams that made the playoffs last yr, 49ers, Steelers, Ravens, Falcons, GB, NO, Cincy!

If we can make the playoffs after going thru this 11 game juggernaut of a schedule, I feel real good about our chances at repeating!

Yep, Thought this was gonna be the day we actually laid an egg at home against an inferior team. But....... I knew bradshaw would bounce back quickly, said to my friend"He is a veteran, and nobody on the sideline has to talk to him" I knew he would come back with a vengance. Didint know how big it would be but he surprised the hell out of me!!! Kudos to AB1!!!!! And the Oline.

Thought it was going to be a tight game. Maybe they pull it out at the end, but certainly did not expect them to be up 10 points heading into halftime, ha!

Against the Browns no. If they do it again next week that's another story.

I thought we'd be able to pull back into it, but I seriously thought Bradshaw was going to get benched, and until I saw him basically go all Incredible Hulk on us, I was beyond bewildered as to why he stayed in the game. Wilson didn't get the same chance.

There is a big difference between an established veteran who rarely fumbles dropping one and a rookie in one of his first touches in the NFL dropping one. Bradshaw has earned his stripes going through the same process that Wilson is now. Wilson is getting his chances and he is starting to make the most of them... he will earn that same respect Bradshaw has now.

No, I didn't think we were going to lose but I was definitely frustrated at our play at the start. We settled in offensively, D is still looking underwhelming.

I kind of got that 'hero we go again...' kind of thought. But I knew #10 could bail us out in the eleventh hour. But this time he didn't need to. We got going before the fourth quarter

It could have gone either way, but Eli calmly marched them down the field to restore order and the rest was history

anything can happen with that much time left in the game. thats the way i looked at it and wasnt worried at all!

if the Giants had gone into the 3rd qtr down by that much then yea i worry but not give up!

not that its necessarily the same thing but i feel like if the Giants can win 6 games in a row to take the superbowl then they can certainly come back from 14 down in a game with 3 qtrs left against a team who hasnt won a game yet and with a rookie qb!

We were losing 14-0 with 10 minutes left in the 1st quarter. No way. A team like the Browns can't capitalize any more after that. The NYG team and management woke up and realized that they were making mental mistakes.

I was sick to my stomach...really, ...you know then, all the bad thoughts start going thru your head ! ... If Eli does start to make a comeback, he will be picked off ..
But little did we know, that fumble Bradshaw made, was the turning point of the game. It Made him what to Redeem himself, and he did for 200Yards !.....
Getting back to the thread question. I new we were in deep trouble, I never think we are going to lose !....... But like always I was counting on Eli to take us out of this nightmare........WHICH HE DID !

GO GIANTS !

I wasn't worried, I was just pissed at the ineptitude displayed by the Giants' "defense".
