Let me guess another run on 3rd and 9. It's times like this I wih we had a HC with balls. That is not Coughlin.

Why not just trow it there. I'm sure they know Eli just needs 7 more yards to 200. Oh well......great win!!! I love it.

Go play Madden loser.

Eli could care less about the streak! He's all win! He cares about going 2 up on Peyton. The big show is all he really cares about!

Really?!?!

bg79
10-14-2012, 08:18 PM
WHAT?

Eli is getting jobbed out of keeping his 200 yard streak going. He only needs 7 yards. He could toss a screen and accomplish exactly what a run would do but still pick up those yards. Theres just no reason not to keep that going at this moment as it's a real sham as this streak was stemming quite a few seasons.

GFiP
10-14-2012, 08:18 PM
WHAT?I'm sick of the conservative bs with running on 3rd at the end of games. Logic dictates that you go for the TD there.9ers are even calling timeouts.

BigBlue1971

Why are you talking down on coughlin? the game is over burn the clock and take the W We arent the saints and Eli isnt breese we arent going for stats and records...although Eli's streak is the one sad thing about this game

miked1958
10-14-2012, 08:19 PM
I knew TC would not throw the ball there. It doesn't rub it in. I would have liked to see another TD to cap it off.. You know Harbough would have thrown to try and rub it in in same situation

Kez Simpson
10-14-2012, 08:19 PM
That is not Coughlin.

Yes, we are up 23-3, about to be 26-3 that's Coughlin. Go play Madden, loser.

we don't care about records just winning the game

Stop and think hard about what you said. Do you honestly believe that at one point making some sort of pass on that drive to pick up the 7 yards would have one ounce of a difference on the outcome of this game? This response I see from you people about just caring about winning is such a weak argument when we're already up 3 scores with absolutely no time for the 9ers to do anything wtih it. They couldve run a screen or a short pass, anything and it still wouldve been high % and kept the clock rolling just fine. Eli might not care but still, there was no harm in continuing it as it wouldnt of jeopardized the outcome of this game in one bit if it were pursued.

I'm just playing around armysgt. :) I am actually glad that Prince is starting to play up to his expectations. Mike Mayock, whom I respect as a draft guru, said (along with many other draft guys) that Prince Amukamara is a top 10 talent.

By the way, I was Army from 1996-2004. 19Kilo baby.

lol good, I was concerned. It sounded like he stole your wallet or something

nice comeback

Winning is nice, so are passing records, but Lets say Eli does throw that "short" pass you speak of and then San Fran gets a pick 6, is that really smart football then?

Winning is nice, so are passing records, but Lets say Eli does throw that "short" pass you speak of and then San Fran gets a pick 6, is that really smart football then?

Wouldnt matter, at that point in the game they didnt have a chance at all of winning. Even if they scored a TD they'd have to get an onsides kick recovery and then score another TD real fast and then do another onsides and recovering that and scoring a TD off of that. Lets just say there wasnt a snowballs chance in hell of that playing out.

It irked me most because it was readily there for the taking. The game wasnt close, there was no need to be so conservative and it wasnt like there were 40 yards needed, it was a simple 7 yard completion. Couldve toss a behind the line of scrimmage screen and picked it up with that and accomplished pretty much identically what we were trying to accomplish with the runs. It's a shame, mainly because of that. But I see you dropped the immature name calling and are actually talking about the situation at hand that I was bringing up.

The Reigning Superbowl Champs sent out a huge reminder and put "best NFC team" to rest in a visiting blowout 26-3 at Candlestick park. Both offense and defense did a great job today. Congrats to Eli for a efficient turnover-free game. Congrats to Victor Cruz for another salsa dance and owning Carlos Rogers again! Congrats to Bradshaw breaking the 49ers defensive streak for allowing rushing TD at home and breaking the streak for allowing 100 yard rushers. Congrats to the defense for shutting down Alex Smith and the rest of his offense. Rolle with 2 INTs and Prince with 1 INT. The 49ers got exposed!

Great win. I missed the whole game, taped it, due to a stay at the hospital due to a kidney stone. Great news to come home to, no pain at the moment and can't wait to watch the game.

Domenik Hixon (#87) and Victor Cruz (#80) were amazing today, catching the ball leading to touchdowns, and the Giants DEFENSE stepped up and crushed the 49ers who scored a pathetic 3 points, hahaha. Welcome back Giants DEFENSE!

Note: Joe Buck and Chris Collinsworth both stated that the 49ers are, currently, the best team in the NFL. The Giants victory over the 49ers today, 26-3, proved they're both wrong.

so much for the 49ner hype of being the best there is, they just played the first serious top flight team and were knocked out. The 49ners had better go back to the drawing board and forget the mindgames, if sharing a stadium with the Jets does not rattle then Giants with the media circus that comes with that, how does the 49 ners expect t rattle the Giants?

as of now, I see the Giants as the best in the NFC, eventhough the Falcons are undefeated, which will not last to the end of the season as the Patrots can say it can not be reached, the Falcons are alergic to cold weather
