View Full Version : Unsung Hero of the Week

This week for me was Jacquain Williams, despite the penalty on the kickoff.

To me, Vernon Davis was the most important player for our team to key on this past week. He had the ability not only to break the big play, but also keep us on the field on third downs. Jacquain and the other LB's really did a great job of holding him in check as he is often Alex Smith's first read.

Who is your unsung hero of the week?

Go Big Blue!

I agree... Beatty not giving up a sack to some fierce pass rushes in SF and philly... he deserves all-pro consideration.

Tynes knocked 4 thru. And can't forget Bradshaw. I swear that guy gets stronger as the game goes on.

Bradshaw is like the Incredible Hulk. You wouldn't like him when he's angry...

Prince definatly after alot of people got down on him he is playing like a first rounder now
i do have to say though, he needs to catch that second pick, that was 6 points

As the front page feature talks about...Tracy. Like Kiwi, played primarily as a linebacker and made the most of it. Glad to see alot of folks getting in on the action.

If we question him every week maybe he keeps this up. Glad he is stepping up and bringing the others along behind him.

yeah tiki's package

Don't forget Sehorn's. I think he is still carrying that and Angie Harmon probably wants it back.

I'd say Domenik Hixon. He caught some balls at major points in the game to get us going, or to keep drives going.

This whole team played great, but I'd have to go with Prince. That first INT was a huge momentum swing for us and for Prince himself. Got Rolle involved with those 2 picks.

Wilson, I've said it before and I'll say it again, is going to be a great weapon for this team for years to come. KO returns have never been better and he runs with a purpose and tremendous speed. I love this kid.

Great win, now time for the Skins! RG3 needs a "welcome to the NFCE shot" from Big Blue!"

Alex Smith. He wasn't selfish with the ball.

David Akers also gets honorable mention for his missed FG's in the first half, which helped set the tone for the 2nd half

to me J-Will has kinda adopted the old Deon Grant role

now i know Grant big, wise, older, slower safety and J-Will fast, young, LB, but it sure seems that way

IMO the Unsung hero of the last few weeks has been Prince. Is it a surprise that the secondary has gotten better since Prince came back from his injury? Me thinks not...

You know, reading through this thread, I had to stop and wonder how we got here. We have gone from a VERY suspect secondary (Coe and Tryon) mostly due to injuries to a group who is making the opposing QB hang onto the ball longer, a linebacking corps that has speed, agility, and "smarts" no matter what players are on the field, and now a DLine that has answered the WTF call in a big way. It's never about one game's performance. This has been coming along since the season began.

Within the past two weeks, Fewell said the sacks and the pressures are coming. We can only hope we now have all of the right parts of the puzzle to take us into the playoffs.

I'd give it ti Kiwi every week...playing out of position anf not whining....I'm glad he got some sacks.

He reall should go back to DE now that they have some actual depth at LB

I say give it to the fat guys! Both O and D lines. Both stepped up and totally handled the (supposed), best lines in the NFL. Damn they were impressive.

I know the OP meant to name a player, but I'd throw Fewell in the mix.
