Excerpt: "New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul's two-sack performance against the San Francisco (http://www.giants101.com/tag/san-francisco/) 49ers in Week six was an impressive performance by a player who was relatively quiet in previous games. So, on Wednesday, when Pierre-Paul commented that the Washington (http://www.giants101.com/tag/washington/)Redskins rushing attack should not run his way (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/jpp-rgiii-don-bring-side-article-1.1185939), most people generally agreed. Most people, besides theWashington (http://www.giants101.com/tag/washington/) Redskins of course. Several members of the 'Skins had no problem making light of Pierre-Paul (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2012/10/18/redskins-jason-pierre-paul/1641915/)as both teams prepare for a highly contested divisional matchup.

Perhaps the biggest perpetrator was Redskins rookie running back Alfred Morris. Morris, who is averaging 4.6 yards per carry this season, did not seem too intimidated by the notion of going up against one of the best defensive ends in the NFL (http://www.giants101.com/tag/nfl/).
"I laugh at it," says Redskins rookie running back Alfred Morris. "No disrespect to him, but talk is cheap. That's why everyone can afford it."

The thing about that is, Jason Pierre-Paul backs up his talk on the field. He already has a Super Bowl (http://www.giants101.com/tag/super-bowl/) ring to go along with a Pro Bowl appearance. Alfred Morris, while he is an exciting young running back, does not have nearly the credentials of JPP yet." Read more...

A rookie who has yet to be tackled by this monster has no bearing to speak on the subject at all. JPP is one of the most feared players in the game, and he's far from his prime.

the odd thing is the rest of that quote is JPP telling them to run the ball at Canty instead. Its not even a knock on Morris or the redskins, just saying they would be more successful not running at him

ok....the line is being drawn. I respect the rook for sticking up for his team and himself but I hope JPP and the Giants put a beating on the Skins and the run game.

I hope you are right sir, I'd rather our annual egg laying to be against a non-divisional opponent this year (if possible)

OMG can't fing wait I think RGPEE will have more rushing yards then "Alfred Morris" JPP is going to eat him alive. I also bet both still run the majority the other way of JPP. So talk is cheap for you rookie don't puss out and run the other way, run at JPP.

We have to go 6-2 first before we lay the egg. It's tradition.

I gotta agree with the Rook on this one. Hopefully our D line can back up the yang they're spitting. It worked during the playoffs but we've been known to stink it up against inferior teams during the season. Let's hope and pray they stomp a mud-hole in the shedskins.

Maybe a little trash talking. He had a pretty big grin on his face when he was talkin. I think its a good sign. He's having fun again. :)

Redskins fans that might be lurking on the forum would be glad to read a thread like this. The fact that we're getting into a war of words with them indicates that we at the very least respect that they can play a good game. The worst fate for an NFL team is indifference. Last year we laughed them off, and lost twice. Now we're treating them as a threat, which I'm sure makes them happy. Hopefully the team is also treating them like a threat, and is prepared for their offense

I hope you are right sir, I'd rather our annual egg laying to be against a non-divisional opponent this year (if possible)as the guys above stated we already did. Twice to Dallas and Philly. We are fresh out of Eggs to lay Sir!

Best comment so far. If you haven't been smacked around for 60 minutes, you don't really have any credibility.

On the subject, I feel that this game won't be too much about JPP. They will be too focussed on blocking him. I do think Tuck and Osi will have great days.

I was watching Sportcenter earlier and Griffin had nothing but good things to say about our D-Line.

Yep, seems the smack talk was earlier in the week. I think everyone is finally settling down, plus the smack talk was perpetuated more by the media than anything. Hell, they even dug an early quote from Osi about RG3 being Bob and ran to RG3 about it to stir the pot.

Btw I think you need to make that avatar into a gif and have tears flowing.

Hell even Osi's "twitter feud" with ****ty mccoy was largely in good fun...

Only if OSI doesn't get ripped like McCoy does to him, he has to stay home this week.
