1st thread although I think I had an account here back in the day.  I tried to use my old user name and they said its in use but maybe Im wrong and thats someone else. Anyways, Im not a troll and I hope for a great game today. I check out your forum from time to time and find it to be a good one. I came on here to clear up some things I read. I saw a thread on here about RG3 throwing all passes behind the LOS or him being a run 1st QB which is totally untrue.

He leads the league in completeion percentage. Short passes or not, you have to admit that is very impressive for a rookie. The screen stuff is not true. We did it non stop in our very 1st series of the 1st game of the year. Since then we rarely throw it and when we do, we only get like 5-7 yards on it. People dont realize that not only is he completely 70% of his passes but he's 2nd in the league in ypa. Higher than Eli. That means weather they are short or not, our guys are getting more yards per play than any passing unit in the league sans 1.

Now dont get me wrong. For the most part we havent gone downfield. We are running the West Coast Offense passing game. Most of the passes are short or from 10-15 yards. Quick slants and in cuts off the playaction moreo in the way that Bill Walsh use to run with Joe Montana & SF did with Steve young. RG3 is extremely accurate on those plays so guys can get yards after the catch.

If you think he's a run 1st guy you will be mistaken. He doesnt ever run unless he has to and Im talking about he will go through 4 reads before he takes off. Thats another misconception. People assume because he's a rookie and he's running that he only has 1 read and if its not there then he's taking off but its not true. He's very good at going to the 2nd & 3rd wr's. Mostly all short stuff but I think that's not a huge concern to us because he was known in College for being the best deep ball thrower and there was a stat the other day that said he had the best rating in the league on deeper passes even though he hasnt thrown many. It said it just proves he's picking his spots well.

As for the Offense, we are being hurt by not having Garcon. You can tell the O was going to be built around him like it was around Moss when he 1st got here. Garcon wouldve been a top 5wrr n our system this year. He dominated in the Preseason and had 109 yards in just 8 plays in the 1st game but either hasnt played or been healthy since. You can tell that it changes both our passing game and the Shanny's confidence in it. Its no coicedence that RG3 threw for over 300 in game 1 and then Garcon's 1st game back but thats it. We have a good & deep core of wr's but they are all pretty much 2's and maybe even 3's at best. Thats why we need Garcon because it then all fits into place.

I truly have not felt that anyone has stopped our O all year. I feel like the only time we have been stopped, it has been our own fault. People say stuff like that all the time and I think its crap but I truly feel that way about us. On the road our O has been good in every game. At home wever struggled at times and to me thats part of the reason we lost like 9 in a row until last week. For some reason we go mad conservative at home.

The Offense is all run run run run run, screen pass. I dont get it. Last week in the 1st quarter it started the same way. We ended up scoring 38pts but I bet if Minny doesnt jump out 9-0 on us that we only score about 17pts. We wouldve stayed conservative the whole way. Instead, we got behind and they had to coach like they do on the road and again we were unstoppable. RG3 had like 138yds rushing and was like 16-19 180yds in this last 3 quarters.

For all those who think it was all short passes, go look at the play by play or ask the Minny fans. It was all like 10-20 yard passes and all right on the money. John Lynch has done like 3 of our games and he just raves about RG3's accuracy. He has a quick release and doesnt make bad decisions.

Now lets get to this game. I would feel really confident if I knew 2 things. If Garcon was 100% healthy and I knew Shanny would coach aggressive. I would feel at the very least we would score enough to be in it but would also probably feel we would win. Garcon is out though. I have confidence that the 1st quarter of the Minny game woke Shanny up and he's usually more aggressive on the road anyways so I have faith in that but Im not sold. You will know early. If its all run run run run screen pass then he's going conservative but if we throw any on 1st down then he's going to be aggressive.

JPP made some comments but Im ok with that. He's a beast and earned that right. Infact, thats my matchup of the game. I would pay anything to watch him vs Trent Williams. Trent has been solid since we drafted him but he had a great offseason and has been straight dominant over the last few games. He killed Jared Allen last game. That will be a great battle. Eli is beasting right now along with the rest of your O. Weve stopped the run well this year. Weve struggled bad against the pass but have been alot better the past few weeks. I think our D gave up over 30pts for like 8 straight games but now has not giving up that in the last 3. I think they always feel like they matchup well with Eli.

Anyways, Im glad how the schedule broke down. Let RG3 get his feet wet in the NFL and now 6 games in, he gets to get baptized by the NFC Beast. Im sure he will notice the difference in playing the champs and a division game but I also think he will make enough plays to let you guys know that you will have to deal with him for the next 10 years. Its embarrasing to say but weve kinda been the forgotten team in the divison for the most part since the Gibbs SB's but we finally got our QB and as I look over things, I think us and you guys will be a tier over Dallas & Philly in the coming future.

Good luck and I hope for a good game. I think you will see even if he looks like crap that RG3 is not Vick or Cam. He wants to pass 1st and is a very accurate passer with a quick release and a big arm. No matter what, its still amazing what he's doing as a rookie without Garcon. Trust me, thats a huge loss for us. The O is just not the same but we are still putting up big numbers. I honestly wouldnt be shocked to see us get blown out, lose a close one, or win a close one. If we play aggressive though and throw some on 1st down then I think we will be in it.  Im just worry that Shanny plays conservative to try to keep Eli off the field or the game close. I dont think he will and it will be exciting. Good luck

Its a whole new year, the deadskins are no match for the NY Giants. The RG3 option run is all they have at best, once you stop it, its done for. Deadskins have no real front 7 or a secondary to speak of. Eli is like Pam Am, with his own airline service and airport, Eli controls the sky with his own airline called
( NCHIA - Nicks, Cruz and Hixon International Airlines.)

Also, the NY Giants just added the ground service called ( 3-way ground AB, AB, and DW ) full service for anyone who needs it, just ask the 49er's. So for teams who like the service, please feel free to call upon the New York Football Giants toll free number 1-800-you got served.

NY Giants 42 Deadskins 10

P.s. please, feel free to use our free troll trashing talk service.

i cant read all that. but thank u for taking the time n being respectful. from what i did read, u confused me. i was the poster who said rg3 throws a lot of passes behind the LOS. r u saying thats not true?

each game, he's had minimum 10 attempts behind the LOS. And the YPA is strictly due to the WR's breaking one of those swing passes for like 75 YAC.

rg3 is gonna be good-great. but if u r gonna try n tell me that u guys arent running a run option/pistol offense (its rhetorical, i've already read from shannahan himself that he imported a lot of the baylor offense) then ur lying.
But thats actually a pretty smart move by shannahan bc it protects rg3 and doesnt ask him to make reads on the defenses (its a 1 read progression). if and when we get out to a lead, shannahans gonna have to start calling nfl offensive plays and not the college crap.

In the last game I think he may have had only like 1 pass at the LOS and that was just like a check down to the 4th guy swinging out the backfield as pressure was coming. How is 1 pass play resposible for him being #2 in ypa? That doesnt make sense. Eli's had a ton of long pass plays and he's not 2nd so how did that one play get RG3 2nd? Also, why do people act like Garcon did something so special on that play? He just caught it an ran. Its not like he had to break tackels or even zig zag any. It was a great pass.

We run the pistol but not as much as people think. Carolina is full time option. We ran maybe 2 option plays against NO and maybe even less against TB. We didnt run any in the 1st half against Cincy and I dont think we ran any against Atlanta. People think its our base Offense but its not. Watch the TB game film. It was all basic offense.

Also, when we do run the pistol, it isnt one read at all. What do you think happens if that guy isnt open? You think RG3 runs? We send multiple recievers out in those routes and if he's not open then RG3 goes to the #2 guy

Honestly any type of non-pro set is gonna get your QB hurt. Maybe not this game but you know as well as I do. His runs in that last game were a necessity and made him shine. The kid will have to stand in there and make decisions against quality clubs. That being his division. We all see his talent, can he make it work is the question. I truly look forward to the G-men humbling him.

DLT,

Welcome back to the board and thanks for not trolling, can't say the same for the supposed Giants fan who posted the first reply here lol. A lot of people around here are undermining RG3 and down playing his success because they take things too personally. Any positive opinion or fact about another QB is seen as a jab against Eli in their eyes, so don't expect much praise for RG3 around here.

I'm pretty nervous about this game because you guys did beat us twice last year and pretty much have the same coaching staff who game planned well against us last season. The defense might not be the same as last year, but you guys have clearly upgraded the QB, RB and WR positions. It should be a good game.

I wouldnt be shocked at all if you killed us and RG3 finally looked like a rookie but I also think we matdchup better than most with you guys. Ive seen Eli destroy us once but other then that we have given him more problems than just about anyone over his career.

I think this game could come down to your run game. I think you guys will try to establish it but weve been very good against it this year. It will just be a fast & physical game all around with alot of guys trying to make statements. We want to be heard in the division and let everyone know that weve arrived and will be here for a long time with RG3. You guys wanna show that we may have a bright future but the present is all about NYG. Not only are you better than us but are the cream of the NFL. You want to prove to RG3 that division play is for the big boys and those 2 losses last year were fluke things.

The start of this game will be very improtant. If you guys jump on us it could be a flood but if we hang around early then I think we will get confident and you guys will start to feel like we might have your number

BTW, here is a cool stat that I bet you guys didnt know. I dont think many know. Weve played 6 games this year. At the end of the day you are what your record says you are but many dont know that weve had a 4th quarter lead in 5 of the 6 games. The only game we didnt have the lead in was Cincy and we were tied in that one 24-24.

I like your assesment, and maybe we are walking into a Redskins meatgrinder

But you do realize you are not playing Willam and Mary here.......you are playing the World Champs, re-tooled with a boatload of new talent you have never seen before

Football is won and lost in the trenches, not at the QB position.......how do you think your front lines match up with ours....forget the skill positions for a minute........Eli as you will see is going to be the least of your problems

I thought in the Preseason you were the best team in the league. Not just because you wont the title but you looked the best. Had that L to Dallas to start the year but since then have pretty much looked like the best still. Your lines are always powerful and to me the reason why you won the 2 titles, espically defensively. However, I think our front 7 on D is very good, even with the injuries. I think we can matchup with your O-line.

Offensively weve been 50/50. For the most part its been a pleasent surprise but the big test is today. It almost all comes down to Trent. You guys might have a advantage at every other spot but the main theat is still JPP and RG3's blindside. If Trent can protect it then I think we will do well. I think we will be able to run the ball on you. No one has stopped it yet, even in the losses

IMO, RGIII is MVII.spoken like someone who has never seen RG3. Look at Vick's college numbers and early pro numbers and compare them to RG3. RG3 was way way way more of a pure passer in college than Vick & Cam. In the pros its been the same, espically when it comes to Vick. Vick was always looking to run. He was always one read and then he takes off. RG3 is the exact opposite and is far more of an accurate passer

For 2 weeks in a row, we've had fans coming on here telling us how good their QBs passing stats are. Alex Smith was the top rated QBR QB, RG3 completes 70% of his passes, whoopdee doo! If our QB just threw 5-7 yd screens & dumpoffs the vast majority of the game, he'd complete 80% of his passes. Problem is , Eli can make any type of throw that only the elite QBs can make. Smith has proven he can't, RG3 is still 6 games into his NFL career, so I can't make that judgement on him yet.

All week, the only player these Skins fans have been harping is about RG3, not any other single player on their team. That alone tells me they have no one else on their team they feel is worth talking about. Hope all the smack talkers come back after the game to eat their crow. But like most 9er fans, I doubt it.

At the end of the day you are what your record says you are but many dont know that weve had a 4th quarter lead in 5 of the 6 games. The only game we didnt have the lead in was Cincy and we were tied in that one 24-24.

Here's an even COOLER stat for you man. Eli Manning's October record is 26-3.

I think most of us on here didn't know that stat because, honestly, we just didn't care.
Typical nerve wracking NFC east game. I was a nervous wreck. I feel we were lucky to be in a position to win at the end because of all the mistakes we made (Eli still can't believe he threw that second pick), plus some questionable play calling on our part. But, you create your own luck when you bird dog the ball and cause turnovers. Big difference in this game was veteran savvy, and never giving up on a play.

I never run. I actually missed the end because I had to pick my gf up from work. I left right after we got that last pick on Eli. I saw on my phone that we had to settle for 3. I followed it on gamecast until we got the ball back on that TD drive. However, I saw those 3 straight incompleteions and I had to cut it off on 4th & 10. I only looked one more time.

It seemed like it was a long time later but there was still like 1min & change left on the clock for some reason and we had the ball at the 44. It looked weird though so I thought it was probably false and the game was over. Either way I couldnt bear to keep track so I said Ill check it when I get home. I got home and thats when I saw it. Man that was a great game with a bunch of big plays and just misses by both sides.

Keep in mind that I didnt come to talk trash. I said you guys should be favorite but I thought we could win if we had a healthy Garcon & Shanny was aggressive. Well Shanny was aggressive like he always is on the road. Garcon was obviously out. Then to top it of we lose by far our next biggest threat in Davis.

I think you guys proved that you are still the class of the whole league much less the Division but we also proved that we will not be the same ole Skins that we have been. RG3 will have to be dealt with. It sucks that for like a million straight years we had a good D but some of the worst Offense in the league. Now we finally get a good O and our D sucks. You guys are a complete team and thats where we have to get at. Good luck but keep an eye in your rear view mirror. We just might sneak up again later in the year

DLT.....I Don't know where RG3 came from, but he has some Great Hat Tricks.......He was like the Energizer Bunny > Keep Going & Going !........... Good thing we don"t play 5 Quarters ! Also good thing we have Superman on our team, playing in the 4th Qt. All I can say what a Game !

Another Great WIN for OUR GIANTS !

It's defintely unfortunate that we have a few Skins fans that find a way to make the rest of us look bad. Do I think the Skins beat themselves today? Absolutely, but I also think the Giants showed why they may be the best team in the league. With that said, it's hard to ignore that the Redskins are quickly becoming dangerous on offense.

I realize a lot of people don't like RG3 (Though has he actually done anything to warrant anyone not liking him?), but the argument about him only throwing short passes all day is getting old pretty fast. News flash, he leads the league with 8.5 yard per completion. He threw 2 perfectly thrown 30+ yard passes today, one for a TD and the other dropped by Hankerson. I'm not sure what he would have to do for even opposing fans to admit he is incredibly talented.

Not to mention, what's wrong with Skins fans bragging about him and only him (though you must be missing the hype about Morris and Kerrigan)? Colts fans bragged about Peyton for how long? He was taken away from them for one season and they dropped to the bottom of the league. Just the same, if you take away Eli, what are the Giants? It's not uncommon for one player to be the difference on a team these days, specifically from the QB position.

Bottom line is the Giants are the better team right now overall, and I have no problem admitting that as a Skins fan...but to think RG3 is overrated, over-hyped or just not that talented is absurd.

Nothing wrong with RG3.....I wont call him Bob anymore.......he is sensational......we just forced a lot of turnovers today but our Oline took two giant steps backwards

RGIII runs too much. He is young and will get away with it for a while, but eventually all the hits will catch-up with him. I don't care what anyone says, either, because in my mind he is still MVII and will end-up having the same type of injury problems. Actually, I think MV has a better arm.

he did throw 2 absolutely perfect deep touch passes ... Vick can fling it a country mile, but he does not have great touch ... RG3s future appears bright

if our defenders did not bring their ball stripping skills today, it could have been a different outcome
